Very nice song. Yes, the tone is fantastic. I assume you were running through an Apogee Jam (didnn't notice any headphone-device).

Hey pretty good, thanks for sharing. Although they seem to have a lot of In-App purchases (not fancy them very much TBH).
What better religion than music itself?

To be fair though, JamUp works perfect without any other purchases. I have yet to buy any of the extra amps, and am VERY happy with JamUp. The app is a complete set of amps within itself, no need to buy anything else. But, if you want some of the other amps, they are there as an option. Nothing wrong with that......kpsychedelic wrote:Hey pretty good, thanks for sharing. Although they seem to have a lot of In-App purchases (not fancy them very much TBH).

I keep seeing videos posted with lead style songs and jamup. Anyone have some links to hearing jamups rhythm stuff? Maybe some ultra high gain metal rhythms and some AC30 Edge type rhythms and some old school rock n roll crunch like zeppelin? I am currently using AmpKit+, but see no reason to use an exclusive ampsim app. Jamup sounds great, but want to be sure it gets me some variety too. How bout a Roland Jazz 120 type clean too? The app really looks like it has potential, but before I go forking over a hundred bucks (because I am that guy that buys all in app purchases) I want some variety. The thread with the videos for YouTube jamup stuff all sounds like lead type songs only.

Thanks for the link. I went ahead and bought it. Will spend the next few weeks trying it out. Less expensive to add everything than AmpKit+. I just bought the expansion packs. $40 for the app and all expansions. I can't believe app prices compared to regular PC or Mac software prices. So much more reasonable at the app store. When you think about getting a roomful of amps and effects all fitting on a device the size of a book (iPad) or on your phone, it is amazing. I have a 4S too. Putting this one on my phone too. Haha. I never imagined I could take a phone, guitar, cord, and a little interface device (apogee jam) anywhere I want to plugin to a P.A. and start shredding. I'll let you know what I think. I haven't recorded anything with AmpKit+ yet either, but my last two songs with guitar in them were done with Guitar Rig 4. Software has come a long way. I have been using software amps for about 8 years now. Lots of improvements in the last 8 years.

Just wanted to note also, that both AmpKit+ with all the in-app purchases plus buying Jamup Pro and all expansions was still less expensive than my line 6 POD 2.0.
Jamup seems to have a lot of features with the recording that AmpKit+ doesn't. FYI - they both sound very meaty like real amps. Just hook up to a powerful amplified speaker system and the meat is there. I like the free positioning of effects and amps. Like Overloud software. If only I had an Apogee Jam type interface that was a floorboard with metal button and foot pedal for wah that hooked up to the 30 pin connection port. So much fun for so little money.

Glad to see you join the ranks of JamUp players! You should check out Alesis Amp Dock. Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on things...but if you have any questions you can shoot me a line here or email me.Wormhelmet wrote:Just wanted to note also, that both AmpKit+ with all the in-app purchases plus buying Jamup Pro and all expansions was still less expensive than my line 6 POD 2.0.

Quick question for Derek:
My in app purchases don't show up for my iPhone. Is there no restore in app purchases feature or is it a separate cost for another device?
