I completely agree but the worst is after all the feature requests made in years on various forums haven't been taken to any consideration...almost as if you never cared.HunterKiller wrote:Well this is pretty hard to say but after demoing it for a couple of hours, I've gone back to version 2 and I'm staying with it.
CurveEQ is the one I waited for the most out of the new releases, as I am sure many people did, and unfortunately it turns out to be the disappointment of the year so far, and the new Voxengo line.
Wholeheartedly, this one should go back to the drawing board, asap.
Been waiting for this for years but I'm just so gutted right now!
It's moved too far away from it's own roots and feels too similar to GlissEQ, the additions are good, but somehow don't feel intuitive. The small little changes from version 2 are horrible and the loss of certain features, pretty sad.
It just feels like a let down, a devolution with worts added instead of an evolution.

I was excited by the annoucement, but underwhelmed by the feature list. I may consider the upgrade at a later point, but I'm not frantically reaching for my credit card.
I wonder whether people would have preferred a v2 rehash, simply with an updated GUI
Voxengo still has some very strong products; I guess I'll wait for the next announcement (waited long enough for this one

so previously we had it in 1 product, now we need 4: that's what I call progress...Aleksey Vaneev wrote:The upgrade price of $39.95 is constant.
Color filling can be disabled in the Spectrum Mode Editor.
GearMatch offered a fixed set of impulses. So, this aspect of CurveEQ can be easily replaced by a convolver with a decent set of WAV impulse files. Vintage processor can be replaced with HarmoniEQ and the saturator can be replaced with either limiter or saturation plugin.

Thanks for your comments, even if these are negative.
Judging from the number of upgrades ordered so far, CurveEQ 3 is a decent update for many users.
I myself wanted to move CurveEQ from "a bit experimental" into "mastering workhorse" category of plug-ins. I think I succeeded at that - yes, it became somehow "boring" plug-in, but that's what I wanted to achieve. It "just works". And the sound became a lot smoother in comparison to version 2.

Whenever some of my friends would rave about a movie or a band/album/book I always find myself s bit disappointed because of all those heightened expectations. I think everyone had an incredibly high expectations of curve EQ3 (perhaps even unrealistic).
I for a change think it is a very fine and smooth sounding EQ maybe because I didn't have any prior knowledge of it or maybe because I like dedicated simplicity of its design. It is simple yet not simplistic.
I have only one question: Can it import and overlay spectrum displays from other tracks within the same session?
Thank you

On the positive side, you could use this oppurtunity to seek what people are missing, and use that information to design a new processorAleksey Vaneev wrote:Thanks for your comments, even if these are negative.

Any reason for it not to be real time?Aleksey Vaneev wrote:You can do that in CurveEQ, but only using static spectrums. I'm actually happy with this update, I like the sound and it does what it says on the box, though I fully understand that not everyone may share this sentiment.
I'm really looking forward to the Marquis compressor and Analog Flux suite being updated to 64 bit. I use these plugins all over the place, to my ears they sound great! I've got my fingers crossed that Warmifier will make it to 64 bit too (Aleksey... one day?).ttoz wrote:I guess that completes the 64 bit transition then?
will the older stuff like lampthruster, analog flux, warmlifier get ported or is this it?
