but the minibrute, if the build quality is solid, (and it looks to be) is full of win with the CV I/O and Steiner Parker filter and coming in at about $500. Someone using both discount codes from musicians friend just managed to get it for $360 stupid stupid money.

Where could I find out about these discount codes? For that price I'd definitely get one...

I am eagerly awaiting this vst editor. It looks great! Do you know how much it's going to cost?

they had two musician friends discount codes one from a catalogue and one from somewhere else and when he went online mf happened to take both codes. Someone else tried it but was unsuccessful. I don't know why he got through but even with the 15% off it brought it down to $460.

All I know is the Minitaur is the best sounding new analog I've heard in years. I'm like the analog snob of analog snobs - even most real analogs don't do it for me! - and those Analogue Solutions synths have never done it for me.

The build quality isn't all that solid, it feels like you might imagine a $499 analog keyboard would feel. However, the sounds it can make are special and unique, so it's still "full of win".
I'm only basing it on what I've heard from a few very small demos. I certainly haven't been impressed with AS either actually. I was pleased they put this out as it seemed to have a good sound and I've heard a good build quality.. but I could be wrong it isn't like its been around for a while.

Anything has got to feel more solid than my SH101 :)

right on, thanks! that's too bad, I would have preordered one right now for that price. with 15% off it's actually $425, which is a great deal, but it seems like musiciansfriend always has that promotion going on, so I might as well wait until it's released in April and check out some reviews first...

Redeem the coupon code "minibrute100" on checkout page 2 and you'll get an instant $100 discount, bringing the price down to $399:

Very tempting :)
