Some really useful information, resources and free bits. Guitar related but more for pedals, amps and the like :)

Dean
maybe this should be in the diy too?
Yes John for sure my friend, I am ill and feeling like shit or i would of searched properly and put it there as it is certainly tweak/build related. So if you would on our behalf as the diy thang is all you and i am signing off until i feel less dead :D

Best to all and peace from this drug-f**ked abomination (legal though/doctors drugs for once!)

Dean
I think it is already in DIY...

Hope you get better soon Dean :(

Any experience I should know about that you would like to share?

Thanx.

Now I see what you are saying. Interesting project.

I absolutely love ibanez guitars. I have 4 :hyper: (3 prestige and a premium bass)

Over the weekend I loaned my Ibanez SR400 to a friend so he could play a gig. Right before his band was supposed to go on stage, he walked to the bar to get a drink... with my bass hanging around his neck by the strap. :dog:
With drinks in hand, he walked toward the stage, the strap came loose at the bottom and my bass fell to the floor. Now the body has a couple huge cracks near the output jack and the bridge has come loose.

Looks like I'm in the market for a new axe. I really like the way the neck feels on that bass so I want to get pretty much the same thing. Looking at the current SR600s...

is it a neck-thru or a bolt on? If it's the latter just get a body from Warmoth ;)

It is a bolt on, so I may do that as well. Something like this would be nice...

But I'd really like to have a replacement bass in the next week or so. I'm just so busy with other projects that I can't see myself disassembling the old bass and reassembling the new one until summer, at least.

Thanks for reminding me of that option. :)

I have one with a headstock (gorgeous tone) and they recently came out with the headless model which I would have gone for were it available when I bought mine.
