Very glad to see important updates, I agree about the new Barricade GUI - I preferred knobs.

I also preferred the old barricade gui.. but guys, have you tried the de-esser? HOLY !"#!%! I think we finally have a Spitfish killer! Or at least a 64bit replacement!

It's absolutely awesome! Even on full program material.

Jeroen: Would it be possible to make the de-esser have a variable stereo linking system like barricade?

Haven't tried the other new effects yet but the de-esser is stunningly good! Easily worth the money for the whole bundle.. the de-esser alone!

If I'm not mistaken this is the third time bmanic says that the spitfish killer has arrived. Just sayin'

Voxformer was one of them, can't remember the other...

Naah.. voxformer is very different to spitfish. I don't think I thought it's a spitfish replacement, rather another option.

This time though, this one seems to work in a similar way and sounds a bit similar.. perhaps a bit smoother even. Anyhow, I need to test it more but it's definitely impressive!

After using Barricade today i actually like the gui now,i thinks its growing on me.It feels like i have a bit more control and solid movements...

Hah! You got me there! I did in fact retire spitfish for a while (because it was crashing frequently in Reaper) but decided to try it again a few years ago and was blown away by how good it was. It was one of the mastering guys from Brad Blackwood's forum who made me try it again. The guys has like every piece of hardware on the planet and said Spitfish was the best de-esser he'd ever used.

Anyhow, this time I will most likely stick with the Tonebooster's de-esser.

So, I can finally retire the beloved Spitfish!

Jeroen- there used to be a way to buy Module separately from the Essentials bundle. I have the original bundle without Module and would like to purchase it but can't find a link. Is this no longer an option?

I see how the RedPhatt metering has been ported to the TB Comp.
Sadly this incarnation, with the 'pinned' top, is less helpful.
With this new design, It would be better, to have a more standard readout.
So you can always see the effective reduction in db.

Last on the Comp :
Dragging the Meter upwards, to decrease the makeup,
seems a bit counter intuitive to me.
No biggi, though.

On the Gate, I miss a (switchable) lookahead.

Yes, the new DeEsser has it's own sound.
Often nice, but sometimes a bit artificial.
Sure enough it alters the sound, even when not processing.
Obviously caused by the split filter ( in wideband mode, it's transparent )

Nevertheless, the DeEsser is currently the main 'attractor'.
... If only the Comp would have a soft knee option, the 2nd release mode, ...

diggin' the update. tb module has grown on me too. what a great signal fattener (only using saturation, compression, filters, dry/wet).
