Toneboosters updated to 2.6

Just downloaded the latest 2.5 update. I purchased the TrackEssentials suite, Isone, and Barricade as soon as Jeroen Breebaart became ToneBoosters.

How did you guys get the key files for the new plugin in the TrackEssentials suite? I cannot use TB_Module, as I don't have a key for it. When I bought the suite and plugins, keys and links to download were emailed to me. I see that there is now a login area in the site, where there wasn't before. Is there now a user area to get the keyfiles?

I just reused my old key files. Simply copy them into the directory where the plugins are.

I have no idea how you get new ones though. Perhaps contact Jeroen through email?

TB_Module was a separate product that could be purchased but it seems to be gone now as an option.. perhaps he includes it in the track essentials bundle now? I don't have a key file for that either because I bought the bundle before it came out.

Exactly. The current trackessentials bundle includes Module,
but for those who bought the bundle at an earlier time,
there is a separate buy option on the website now.

What is the exact noise level? Or even better, send me a short
sequence of the exported noise over email

a dynamic range of at least 160 dB.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I got interested because the plugin's sound is very unique and it doesn't sound anything like the usual M/S processing of boosting the side signal, but I was also a little wary of doing something wrong with it.

Sadly the Comp is still missing too many features from RedPhattPro.

I can only repeat the already posted question :
are there plans for a RedPatt successor ?

I see how the RedPhatt reduction metering has been ported to the TB Comp.
Sadly this incarnation, with the 'pinned' top, is less helpful.
With this new design, It would be better, to have a more standard readout.
So you can always see the effective reduction in db.

Last on the Comp :
Dragging the Meter upwards, to decrease the makeup,
seems a bit counter intuitive to me.
No biggi, though.


On the Gate, I miss a (switchable) lookahead.

I think I listened to my music the first time on headphones while writing it and that's when I noticed it. (usually I never have headphones on...)

I think I noticed the noise/hiss especially with TB Barricade and TB Time Machine.
I also use TB Ferox and TB Equalizer and JB Red Phatt Pro but I cannot remember if I noticed the noise/hiss with those plugins as well.
I have no clue what 'dithering' is, I will look into it.

With timemachine I only use the 12bit legend preset, barricade I just turn to +X and -1 db and never touch the other controls
I will look into it again and let you know.
