Would it be possible to add some sort of "fine" volume adjustment function to the sliders?. Some synths have a fine adjustment key (e.g. holding "Shift" whilst moving a dial or slider) and it would really nice to be able to do it for the rack volumes.

Good idea.

However, the feature request list has not been taken notice for for quite a while and I hardly believe thar will change if I add your idea...

Only way to get what you describe is using telnet automation protocoll with Solo or Performer. However this needs programming skills and isn't a solution for a standard user...

UPDATE:

On virtual sliders it seems to work to press the arrow keys while you click and hold the mousecursor on them. It's probably not fine adjustment but easier than dragging by moving the mouse.
