Albino 4?

Albino is always a good synth and different enough than Predator. I wished only some improvements eventually with the design and with Unison (IMO Unison sounds not very good with Albino).
Albino4 should not have big changes in the engine, more some small things. Maybe some more filter types or stuff which can be done today with the more processing power.

If nothing has changed lately, there will not be an Albino 4. Linplug's Peter said that Rob Papen is not interested.

Did you see this?
I hope it doesn't mean that Albino is about to die.
At the verge of a new life?
Might be the sign that things will change in a not too distant future.http://www.robpapen.com/albino-3.html wrote:Untill end of 2012 available as classic software Rob Papen synthesizer at www.linplug.com

Yes, it could be a sign of something very good or something very bad. Maybe there will be a Rob Papen-only Albino 4.

I always thought Predator *was* Albino 4 - hence the identical colour scheme.standalone wrote:Yes, it could be a sign of something very good or something very bad. Maybe there will be a Rob Papen-only Albino 4.

There is a demo bank of 128 patches from the Diversity set.osiris wrote:Is that the $90.00 Diversity? Nah not for a soundset. I payed $50.00 for the Korg M1...![]()
I enjoyed your soundset, though.
"Diversity Free is a full bank of 128 presets taken straight from the full Diversity soundset. It aims to put the quality of Diversity on full display."
The full set is over 1000 patches so it's not too expensive if you look at it that way.....
Thanks for the kind words about my bank.

That, I think would make Albino just about perfect. Unison and unison spread like Z3ta+ has. Can you imagine the sounds?
Like I said, Albino does have excellent filters, fx, etc...
Thanks for the heads up about the Diversity free bank. I did see a folder labeled Diversity when I installed it. I'll check and see if this is the full free bank.

More love here for Albino. An amazing lush & unique synth. I don't think it necessarily needs an update, although it could be interesting if they add new features and stuff. The engine itself sounds really good, I don't think it needs to be redone or reworked.
Anyway, happy with my Albino 3!

I've been waiting for the right time for Albino to show up in the Market place. Its older, not as CPU efficient, slightly dark and laid back sounding, I have a lot of other very good synthesizers, but there is something about the sound that is totally captivating and ever since I first demoed it I've wanted it. I love the work flow and colour scheme especially. That red mod matrix! yes.

I can use 3 instances on my netbook.
Easily the most CPU efficient synth I have.

not even worth to mention that, wasted energy, tek... they don't reward it anyway as they simply don't get it... kids nowadays don't understand that a sounddesigner has to get payed for creating the art they (the kids) earn money from... sad times...Teksonik wrote:There is a demo bank of 128 patches from the Diversity set.osiris wrote:Is that the $90.00 Diversity?
