Hi guys,
Sonic Chop for Android has been updated with some new features. Now can browse for WAV files on your sdcard (besides being able to convert from your MP3 library). Also now has easier BPM adjustments on the main screen and a Beat guide lock and beat snap to make loop selection even faster and easier.
Another new feature is the ability to autochop into a folder. Just set the first loop marker to the beat you want to start at, then use AutoChop to automatically chop measures into WAV's in a folder of your choosing.
Still some bugs here and there. But it's a nice cheap price! Please report issues if you can!

Hi Niko,
I mailed you i think 2 days ago about the BETA wave import, it's not working at all on my Asus Transformer TF101.
Tried several wavefiles, also using wavefiles from electrum for example.
After loading the screen stays empty, when i press on it i get a errormsg: invalid audio buffer size.
Cheers,
Rob.

Hi Rob,
Yep got the email. If samples are too short the display will definitely be blank, it's not designed yet to handle samples below a certain minimum length. That may be the problem. Does it work OK at all for long samples, such as entire tracks, etc?

I did a test with a longer audiofile, that worked fine.nikolatesla20 wrote: If samples are too short the display will definitely be blank, it's not designed yet to handle samples below a certain minimum length. Would it be possible to set the minimum import length to 1 pattern length?
Cheers,
Rob.

Well, I actually *would* like to get it to work even for short samples, but I haven't touched the code to do that just yet. Sonic Chop started out with huge files in mind. The blank screen is simply because the display expects a sample to at least be approximately 10 times or higher the screen width in sample size, and then it subdivides it to create a display.
You really can't restrict the size since you don't know the measure size until you know the BPM.

Fair enough.
Hope to see it happen someday, proper wavefile editting on Android would be very handy.
