Agreed... nothing new here at all. I just can't see any need for this.PietW. wrote:This is so boring. Again and again the same. Makes finally something new or different. Always the same sound.

I can see the need for it, it gives sonic academy a baseline synth thats cheap enough that all their members can purchase easily. This then simplifies any tutorials they want to do in the future since they have a standard platform to use, and being able to move beyond sylenth1 which I think was their standard one before. Also doesnt hurt if its a useful synth as well

Well, it is always the same sound, isn't it? But, you know that's what people want. They say, I want THAT sound. How do you make THAT sound? How can you judge what it does or what it even really sounds like from two demo videos?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the interest in the synth. A few of you hit the nail on the head. The synth was developed to give our users a cheap synth that was as simple to use and as broad as possible.
My main job is disecting and building sounds for the tutorials so i have a good idea of what synth features are important for edm.
I created the GUI myself with a lot of help and info from the KVR developer forums!!! So thanks for that KVRers.
I also got in touch with Michael Olsen through here. Michael is an incredibly tallented developer and did an amazing job abe has been a pleasure to work with.
The synth really is a joy to use and its super easy to create a broad range of sounds.
the Name picked itself based on the name of the Oscs.... analog, noise, attack. ANA.... We had thought of ANA1 until a freind pointed out the flaw in our thinking. We had some good tag lines too "ANA1, youll love it once you try it" "you cant beat ANA1" etc.
We didnt bother with an arp as i never use them in tutorials... There are also some great standalone arp plugins.
i can confirm the pricing for ANA will be as follows.
launch offer: £29 for subscribers £49 for nonsubscibers (will run for 2 weeks)
Usual price £39 for subsscibers £59 for non subscribers.
We are just testing our RC which is going well. so we are on track for a release before end of Feb. will be a bunch more videos comming in the comming days/weeks showing more of what it can do!

Copy protection is just serial... We are hoping by pricing it so low we can encourage folks to buy it instead of getting a crack. We will also have a ton of tutorial videos, and regular preset updates for customers.

Standalone Arps can't be included in a Synth's Patch......philterino wrote: We didnt bother with an arp as i never use them in tutorials... There are also some great standalone arp plugins.
So ANA was hand coded by Mr. Olsen?

lol, who gives a crap if it isn't "different". Point is that this thing sounds incredible. Personally I'd take sheer quality over "weirdness" factor any day of the week.PietW. wrote:This is so boring. Again and again the same. Makes finally something new or different. Always the same sound.
I am definitely buying this if it's $80. I'm totally sold by that demo. Wow.
I want more demos of included patches. Please please please.

Yeah he hand coded it... I had the GUI design, features, some samples and layer detune pretty much sorted. Michael implemented everything from start to finish... Designed some awesome sounding filters and fx.Teksonik wrote:Standalone Arps can't be included in a Synth's Patch......philterino wrote: We didnt bother with an arp as i never use them in tutorials... He was such a pleasure to work with, incredibly patient, creative and extreemly profesional.
We arnt trying to break the mould with this synth just make something that enables you to Create 95% of the sounds you hear in current dance tunes for a ton less cash than anyone else. It always bothered me that our subscribers had to fork out lots of cash for 3rd party synth that we couldnt really give 100% support on.
personally i think we completly knocked it out of the park and will give synths 5 times the price a run for their money.
