my son worked at a casino until he came back to Mass last summer, he worked a beach boy show last year and was excited about meeting them. They were a phase for me, I liked them when I was in Jr High but they just didn't inspire me guitar wise (though during that time I did have a Hagstrom II which was pretty much a surf guitar)

HINK: i'm sorry the Beach Boys didn't inspire you to play goofy rock guitar...

it was a good show though...

seriously though: the Beach Boys tribute was great...Maroon 5 and their main singer nailed it...the next crappy band kind of sucked... but seeing/hearing Brian really f**king laying it down for his bit, well it was great...nobody is going to talk about it though as Brian is still alive and Whitney is dead...

I'm sure it was, that wasn't a negative thing...I just went in another direction...still though Beach Boys songs bring back awesome memories of youth. I saw the Beach Boys at Boston Garden I think my freshman year of high school and saw them once at Fenway believe it or not...we all have music that was just a phase for us

The wife would have loved the Maroon 5, we have 3 of their albums :)

i never went through a phase, i was into shit or i wasn't...the shit i was into when i was a kid is some of the deepest shit, it's called "learning"...
