I noticed that Flux BitterSweet II (v2.3.3) is on the latest issue of Computer Music (#174).
The install .exe file seems to be a self-extracting Archive. But when I open it in WinRAR I can see only two files - the User Manual PDF and the Licence.rtf file.
Where's the plugin? I haven't run the installer yet, as I wanted to check on the contents first.

It's an executable file, you just have to run it.
It will ask you where to install the various components (the "main features" and the different plug-in formats). By the way, the current version is 2.3.4, you can download it from the dev's website.
What I don't get is this:

Yes, I understand that it is a .exe file, What I do not get is why I can only see those two file when I extract the files from the .exe with WinRar. How can the other content be hidden?

I actually find strange that it is possible to look into an .exe file with WinRar. Something which is usually not possible, as installers are compiled files - I guess the licence and .pdf files are the only ones you see for this very reason: you can't navigate the compiled .exe file, but you can see those files, as they are there to be copied in the target directory by the installer itself.
EDIT: I can look to what files it exactly installs for you, as I have it installed on my notebook (the only PC where it works without issue...). Quite a lot of stuff for a freebie, if that's your concern

In its properties, it shows up here as a "SFX 7-Zip Archive"

While I was at it, I installed the latest version and it installs less files than the old ones: the plugins in the desired folder, a short-cut to the manual in the Start menu and a resource folder into Program Files/Flux (containing three sub-folders with manual and images).
[EDIT] I wrote "plugins" because there are separate mono and 2ch versions.
