It's not very flexible, but it does some types of sounds really well. It's definitely one of my favorite synths, but I wouldn't want it to be my only synth.
Hardware: Akai MPK61, MFB-Synth II, Roland JX-8P, Virus TI Snow, KORG MS2000R, Roland SH-01
Favorite software: Sylenth1, Synth1, Messiah, ME80, OPX-Pro II, Zebra 2, Diva, Reason, Studio One V2 Pro

Sylenth rocks, no doubt about it.

You're right. It's hard though to think about the usual Desert Island Synth. I love Sylenth but it could not be that one. Zebra maybe or Surge which I'm discovering more and more and it's awesome.
Yes some sounds from Sylenth are just THOSE and no substitute for it.

I agree about one synth Vs many wonderful soft synths.
But, If I have Virus and Nord, I will not sell it as low price or any price :(
I actually sold my Virus after purchasing Sylenth also...
Very encouraging as I've considered buying a Virus. I don't have a TDM system but I like the idea of the Virus Indigo plugin. I'm definitely through buying hard synths, from what I've been reading I need Zebra ... Dune ... Surge ...

Does anyone know about the Nexus2?

Dune is fun to program and yield good sounds quickly, for me at least, faster then Sylenth. Zebra is the usual Monster but Surge is an unbelievable, solid, multifaceted wonderful synth at a bargain price.

As much as i know I should roll up my laazy ass sleeves and program it more , I'd but commercial sound banks all up if there were any ( got the dnr ones ) Surge and helix are unexplicably under loved .....
Financial solvency and KVR Mix as well as oil and water.

Yes Helix, that too! As far as I know three great synths are left sitting while everyone else is dancing: Surge, Helix and Blue.
Why? I'm not sure.
