Really it was just an awful autotuned mess.
:phew: I thought it was just me.

i can understand not liking current R&B/pop, but to claim most of it is not being made by schooled musicians, well it's just not true...and to hold up that screechy dayglo anorexic fronted bit as an example of good pop music? more an example of cynical, coke fueled, cash grabbing, 80's refuse, i don't care who the drummer played with...

Rihanna, J-Lo and Beyonce are like most people: better if no sound comes out of them.

Hm... I like it when people make sounds. The three you mentioned are good (Rihanna and J-Lo) to great (Beyonce) singers. No need to be envious of their talent, I'm sure you've got lots to offer yourself.

On topic: If'n you don't like these gals, why not try the angelic, the divine, the awesome and astounding Florence Welch?

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you

Sigh.

A nice violin sounds good too, but you can still make horrible noises with it :D

Florence And The Machine
She gets no airplay, but has been on Saturday Night Live twice now and blew me away both times.
I want to remix 'Heavy In Your Arms' so badly.
