Programentalist wrote:Very nice, great tension and atmosphere and the transition to the more fast paced section at 4:48 was great.

While you built some good moods though, I didn't quite feel the horror vibes. Everything was too nice somehow. Felt more like dramatic moments in life (some sadness there perhaps?) but not quite haunting in that sense of the word.

Still a very cool piece, and making it last for 10 minutes without me getting bored is impressive :)
Thanks for listening Programentalist. Glad you liked it.

Maybe I scare easily :shock:

Listened to it through...some things about it I liked, some I didn't, but overall a strong effort. I think all the work paid off.

As for the mirror story...it reminded me of a tv show episode i had seen when I was like 7 years old. It was about mirrors. I remembered William Shatner was the main character in it, although I didn't know him until Star Trek years later. Anyway, your story reminded me to search it out. I ,to this day, never knew what that was I saw, but it scared the crap out of me at the time! I found it;

Read the review near page bottom. See it if you can find it! :lol:

EDIT: found the end of it on youtube;

Thanks for listening DHM. Glad you enjoyed it. Looks like I will have to resort to sheer volume for the fear factor :)

beautiful clear depth of intro. Great building arrangement, and down again, classey, great depth.

Thanks for listening annode. Glad you liked parts of it!

I watched the video. It's quite surprising how good some of these old TV thrillers were in the days before special effects. I suppose the producers had to reply on storylines, screenplays and acting back in the day. Back in the '70s here in the UK we had a Saturday Night show called Thriller. I seem to remember that some of these were very good stories and pretty scary as well.

Thanks for listening and commenting fatc, Glad you enjoyed it.

I hear you were away for a 3-day summer. We just managed to escape from 2 weeks of freezing weather here. The snow has almost melted. Hopefully better weather is around the corner.

Post

oohh... :oops: didn't actually get away camping, just as well, we would have got [very] wet.
Did make it away from the Computer for a few days so that was something, drove down and saw tens of thousands of Godwits, seabirds that do the non stop flight from Alaska to here.

Post

I just looked that up. That is about 11,000 km. A 14-15 hour non-stop flight on a large jet. Those birds must be exhausted after that.

final bump

Decade EP due out 27/02

well and truely OT :)
yes...apparently they can sense weather systems,and kind of skirt the edges of different weather systems, so they have the wind 3/4 behind them most of the way, for 10 days or so. They are a harbinger of spring here, always arrive after the last cold snap of winter.

very, very good! :) but... i think it's better without beats.

Long time, no see, astrochimp! Glad you liked this one. However, I think you will probably prefer Qattara. No beats on there, only a few cymbals. I think I "warned" you about that one a couple of months ago :)

Thanks for listening and commenting.
