EDIT: ...hmmm, that was a bit unnecessary, harsh even, but I couldn't resist (never actually had a problem with CW software... not even X1 Prod Ex.

Well only bugs submitted by card carrying members of "the in-crowd" are taken seriously. I mean it only makes sense, since beta testing is just another term for popularity contest.*hibidy wrote:It depends.

should 'it looks just like Live' be seen as a bug or a feature?

How long it usually takes the beta testing?
IIRC Reason is usually 1 month, and others are no more than 2-3 months, hopeful we dont need to wait much longer.

Can anyone remember how long Studio 1 took to make it to the wild? Bloody ages, wasn't it?

OK, now I am waiting to see if Theo lists any of his current hosts for sale in the Marketplace. That will be the barometer for how good BW Studio isttoz wrote:OMG OMG i'm in i've been invited to the beta !!!

Interesting question. Features are intended, bugs aren't... I reckon it's a feature, but perhaps I'm being a little harshspaceman wrote:should 'it looks just like Live' be seen as a bug or a feature?

....you're kidding right? For plug ins, maybe 1-3 months(never seen a 1 month.... or even 2 month beta from any of the established brands I do testing for...). The DAW beta I'm busy with atm has been going since June last year! First betas, especially with DAWs take ages usually.pc999 wrote:How long it usually takes the beta testing?

Also, Reason doesn't have to take other VSTs into consideration. It's a near-as-can-be to closed, and it's established, so they've been around the block a few times, therefore, generally they wouldn't have long beta times.

About five months from initial announcement to release. April 2 -> Sept 1jonnyG wrote:Can anyone remember how long Studio 1 took to make it to the wild? Bloody ages, wasn't it?
Bitwig is well past that already. They were talking about it publicly last July IIRC even though they weren't showing anything but a teaser image.
