Dear friends.

Today I have released Luftrum 8 - a soundset for Animoog with 64 new presets covering a broad range of genres from Ambient to Dubstep with smooth ambient pads, wobbly basses, subtle drones, rhythmic sequences and organic sound effects such as a true budgie tweet, the hypnotic song of whales and the natural purr of a cat, but it's not all zoo and the soundset contains plenty of non-animal presets in the realm of sounds not before heard from the Animoog sound engine.

Listen to the YouTube audio demo of the soundset below, no external effects or sequencing used - just pure Animoog played directly on the iPad. Watch in HD 720p for best audio.

Luftrum 8 is compatible with both the iPad and iPhone version of Animoog and there's an easy 3-step install instruction included, describing how to get the sounds onto your device.

Luftrum 8 retails at 19$ but I am giving away two copies of the soundset each week. All you have to do is reply to this thread and tell me your favourite part of the audio demo, that's it! The winners will be randomly drawn every monday until April 2nd.

Great job. The soundset is fantastic.
And the two pads at 0:15 and at 4:20 are just great. Those are my favorite parts.

WOW!!!
You do have a great set of sounds here. I literally stumbled upon this forum because I am beginning to learn how to create sounds with Animoog, and your post came as a google answer.
I'm impressed with the overall results, but in my opinion the best sounds of the set are the rhythmic ones, like these two beauties that show up their faces at 0:50 and at 3:24 [I really have a BIG weakness for sequenced/arpeggiated sounds]. Another extra LIKE goes to the beautiful bass at 4:55, and to the VERY convincing piano at 4:40.
Anyway, I'd just like to tell you that I really loved your set.
Cheers from Brazil!

This definitely gives me a new appreciation for Animoog and the types of sounds you can get with it. I've created a few presets, but this is new motivation for diving in and really learning what can be tweaked.

My favorite parts of the demo are the rhythmic drones. The one at 3:26 is amazing. I like the more subtle pad effects, and you've got some really nice examples.

Nicely done! I'm a sucker for that arpeggiated kind of stuff around 3:15-3:20 where it starts.

It is an awesome pack. Worth purchasing!

I haven't bought many soundsets for the iPod Touch apps yet but have enjoyed your free pads set for Alchemy. Other than the annoying bird chirps (remind me to turn the volume down), this might be my exception.

Nice work and please keep on creating.

I love that preset. How the heck was he able to get the bird chirping sound out of Animoog- amazing programming and is suprising to hear (and heck, it's analog and not sampled- very cool SFX)

Thank you Mdust for your kind words and welcome to KVR! Stumbling upon this forum is a gift in itself, there's a lot of friendly people around here. In fact, of all forums I have been part of in my entire interweb life, no forum can match the magic of KVR.

Just read your interview from your website. Dude - get on with doing Omnisphere presets. Would love to see what you can do with that beast.

Funny you mention, I have thought about Omnisphere quite often. Who knows what the future brings.

Reminder: Tomorrow I will draw two winners of the soundset. You can all still participate, read above.

I am a long time iPad/ios musician. I love all iOS music apps but Animoog is a cut above. Cool to see someone building sample sets for iOS and selling them outside of the normal IAP world,i hope more people follow this same route so we can get some great sounds floating 'round the 'net. I recently saw another group of like minders get some good presets together for Tempo's Nlog synth for iOS too. I would like to check these out as well. I hope to check some of these out and see if they can fit into my productions(possibly for free even).

My favorite part of the video was the whale song in the opening seconds,it got my dog barking. Too bad the other people in my house are pogo freak nuts and use up all the bandwidth playing crap online games so I had to close the video before I smashed my laptop due to "BUFFERING FRUSTRATION SYNDROME" which is the worst thing ever in the world history of the internet(true story)!

You guys can check out my Animoog songs at sound cloud.com/freesoulsound as well.

I say about 95% of my tracks are all iPad only created. Hope they do something for ya.

I have now drawn two winners of Luftrum 8 who will recieve a copy of the soundset to their chosen email address. Congratulations to Mdust and freesoulvw.

Next monday I will select two new winners and if you want to participate then just reply to this thread and tell me what sound you like the most from the demo above. That's it.

The draw was made through random.org using atmospheric noise, which is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs. So it's "truly" random and definitely more random than random (?!)
