Since I do most of my production using multiple instances of Kontakt and Omnisphere, it's pretty imperative to use Logic in 64-Bit. But like *many* others, I'm finding the 32-bit bridges used by most (all?) DAWs for Mac OSX are horribly unreliable and/or inconvenient.
So I'm compiling a list of my last remaining 32-bit plugins, and seeing what I can do about replacing them with 64-bit equivalents (perhaps a topic for its own thread. Hmmm.). Anyhow, I've come to M-Tron Pro. The GForce website has a note about 64-bit versions coming in 2011, but if the development cycle they had for ImpOSCar 2 is any indication, they seem to be dreadfully slow regarding updates.
on the other hand, I'm a big fan of Steve's work over at Hollow Sun, and his Mellotron library might just be the solution. It keeps me happily in Kontakt and the 64-bit realm, and it's only (roughly) about a $40 expense.
Thus, my debate is: should I wait for GForce to get up to date, or bag them and go with Hollow Sun? Conversely, a new version of Logic *could*, in theory, solve the 32-bit plugin dilemma by introducing a more elegant way than bitbridge to incorporate old plugins... but that seems like the LEAST likely scenario of all!
Hollow Sun Newtron Bomb? Or continue to wait (im)patiently for M-Tron Pro 64-Bit?

in another thread chris from gforce mentioned that a 64bit version of m-tron pro is available for owners of m-tron pro (not officially but through e-mail contact with him). after contacting chris he sent me this version and it works without any glitches in cubase 6 64bit under windows 7 64bit. if you are looking out to buy m-tron pro why not contact chris before and ask him about the 64bit version? hope this helps you in your decision.
ps. i also have the newtron bomb set. it is nice if you just want the most famous mellotron sounds (choir, strings, flute, brass) but not really comparable to all the sounds you get with m-tron pro.
