MIDI Sync and MIDI note out coming in the next release :( I was going to try and get it in for v1, but I wanted to get it out soon and updates are free so you will just have to wait a month. :hihi:

Background audio / WiST / AudioCopy are all in there now. Let me know if you have any questions or anything and I'll try to help as best I can.

Downloading now. Been waiting for this one

MIDI-out will be cool. So I'll be able to control other drums machines/synths from this?

Post

Thanks! Yea, you will be able to set the midi channel and the note for each sample.

I CAN'T STOP!!!

I'm hooked!! :help:

This is bloody great. My new best drum App on the IPad. It's up there with the best of them for sure. And once it can control them and other devices (via MIDI) it's going to be awesome. I can't wait to set this loose on my little MFB-522 drum machine. But saying that it's got some great sounds in there itself. Awesomeness

I just bought this and like it a lot but would like to make some request that would improve usability (at least for me).

1. When you've selected a pattern that is more then 16 beats long. It would be great to have a method of select the other 16 beat patterns that is faster then having to use two presses. A simple left/right arrow button would allow quick pattern part selection.

2. I know there is an option to "Add taps to pattern" but I'd like the option to arm the track instead. The idea is that you can jam along by hitting the big pad buttons and when you are happy, hit arm and then input your beat. Maybe even add that a long press on the button starts to erase beats.

3. When I'm working on a pattern and close the app. I'd like that pattern to auto load when I restart the app.

4. In truth I find the filing cabinet box menu completely confusing. I'll suppose I'll get used to it.

5. An easy way to save and load patterns. I made a new pattern (called Test1). Shut down the app. Opened the app again and can't find it.

6. An option to have random timing fluctuations per instrument for better human feel. Possibly on a slider so 0 = 100% in time and 100 = really sloppy timing.

First impressions are very good. Dropbox support thanks god. Great workflow and intuitive. I know midi sync and output are on the way, ASAP please.
Is there a simple way to mute a track rather than turning gain down?

Post

Looks interesting.Wish I had an ipad.
Any chance there be an iphone version?

There should be a way to delete songs and patterns without having to sync to iTunes.
As previous post app should open on last song opened.
Filing cabinet is over complex I think.

1. I will see how hard it is to do a "swipe" on the pattern to shift over to the next measure.

2. So the "arm" button would be moving the on/off switch from the wrench pop-up to the main screen?

3. This is a good idea!

4. I used to have one long list of files in your iTunes File Sharing folder plus the included files and it was a scroll marathon.. If you have any ideas on how to make this easier, I am very interested.

5. The new patter would be in the same song that you last used. I am thinking about making it so patterns and songs are listed by the date they were last edited, and if i add this with number 3 it should make the issue go away.

6. I've thought about adding jitter, but it will have to come in a couple releases because MIDI and mute/solo have to come first. It is nice to know that you'd like it, though!

I agree all around! I hope to clean these up in one of the next couple updates.

Perhaps in a few months. The iPhone screen is so small it means redesigning the whole user interface, which is a surprisingly large amount of code for the app at this point... I have had quite a few requests for it, so I will bump it up in the priority list. If I do make an iPhone version, it will be a universal app -- none of that "you have to buy two versions" crap that other developers pull.

Is there a way to load complete kits? I can seem to work this out. I can load individual hits okay. But not whole kits!

EDIT: just figured it out! Often the way. As soon as you post it dawns on you!

Just another voice of support for your project.

I'm happy to see this on my iPad, thanks! I enjoyed the YouTube tutorials, as well.

Please keep up the good work.
