Yeah we would love to do more Cubase tutorials I used it for years before ableton 6 came out.

We haven't found the right guy yet to do them but are still searching.
Is this the right place to find someone, put an advert on here somewhere...?

It sounds ok, but I will wait to test it myself before I can say if it's better than Sylenth for those proggy stabs for example. The sound bites on soundcloud sound good because the melodies and chord progressions are nice and spot-on, exactly what you hear in tracks nowadays. Something to take into account ... Not to say the raw quality of the synth is not good but just goes to say that you can do that with a lot of synths if you just know your way around...
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

There are a few features that really step it up from sylenth for stabs.

Chord Hold... being able to save chords with the preset is really handy

The Switchable ENV curves - the soft curve setting gives you a really nice decay that works great for stabs and plucks.

Hopefully we will be releasing over the weekend so you can all try for yourselves.

Did you give any date for the release, or have I over looked it?

Nice!

And for the price I'm getting this one. At £29 for me as a gold member, I'm so in!
Can't wait until release.

@djanthonyw - Thanks for the fast reply! :)

I have a request going the the Sonic site. I would love a tutorial on how to get the "same" sound in Live vs Cubase. Using the built in tools.

From the GUI, the demo sounds and the features seen in the videos at Youtube it's a very interesting new VA. I will not say "replacement for Sylenth1" but we will see if it's released (tomorrow?)

I was really into the Idea of Sonic Academy at first but lost interest because of the complete lack of Cubase tutorials covering specific genres.

I could watch, Nu Skool Breaks, Electro Funk/Bass, Detroit Techno, Nu Disco and maybe other styles too, I think they are missing the boat here, each basic style should be covered on each major host and indepth - start to finish. Maybe they need to get featured artists in to do these tutorials who know their game...It's probably down to costs...? :?

Instead of third and fourth oscillators they could add sub oscilator, sync option, and FM.
