This odd little bit of ethno-tinged ambience grew from the same Machinedrum sine wave sessions that spawned Tunnel Vision.

really interesting vibes type sounds, that seem to distribute across the stereo field, and that machinedrum is the bizz. I like the kind of distro lead.

Wow. I know I pretty much always have nice things to say about your stuff (and I mean it!), but this is just pure, distilled AWESOME! This one really strikes a nerve with me, and I love it. So many cool sounds, and damn that lead is sweet!

I finally got to listen to this uninterrupted at a decent (loud) volume.

The metallophone sound that persists through this has such a calming, hypnotic effect, while you surreptitiously administer lethal doses of Virus to the unsuspecting victim. By the time they realise what has happened, the track has finished and it is too late for restorative treatment, leading to inevitable addiction.

Great track.

Conceal came on in the car on the way home from work tonight. Big surprise.

Interesting.

Could one get a glimpse into the creative process that goes into this kind of music? How much is minutely programmed and how much is well-versed acquaintance with the stochastic?

Also: if it would burst into goa trance spontaneously, that would kill me with joy.

There's not much in the way of randomness in this piece, but nor does minutely programmed sound appealing to me. I use a keyboard as I like to play, but I don't really know how to play keys... so I just go by feel and by ear. Now, the Machinedrum is programmed, but I like to use the ram machines which allow one to jam on the instrument. I'll jam on some riffs while recording, then extract parts which I think might layer together nicely. Hopefully that tells you something about the process.

I don't know much about trance, and while I've heard of the genre called goa trance I'm afraid I don't know what it is.

Very nice. Love the "bubbly" percussion and the occassional sharp lead-y sound.

Lots of nice subtle stuff as well!

Speaking of tracks not being played one week after release and the likes, shouldn't you have enough material to release a farily cohesive "album" of this stuff? That should give everyone with short attention spans a chance to listen to some "old" stuff again

Yes, that was insightful actually. How the sounds got so clear remains a mystery.

Goa trance is this awesome hypermelodic laser music with da beat and da bass and da intelligent song progression. You should try some!
