It seems impossible to find.
While I love biab it's definately not "auto" as you have to plug the chords into it before getting a backing. I've been looking around and nothing comes close to matching what's available in the hardware world.
The closest thing so far is omb but even that is a pain in the arse and I still cant get it to obey something as simple as auto accompaniment is only to be activated by channel 1
I tried lifestyler which was a complete disater from all appearances the only way it will run is if you have your midi sent out to a kentron which I don't have.

Well maybe it is not easiest thing to implement 'trully' automated software. There is a lot of similar apps that make it easy for you to create chord sequences or even songs in a particular style create chord progressions is one of them:

Powerful arranger/sequencer based on advanced technologies with full real-time control of MIDI data generation and transformation. Combining best advantages of existing musical software, it gives great flexibility for professionals and real simplicity for amateur musicians. It has all you need to create a professional arrangement or a full song with excellent multi-object visualization of all events, markers and processes in real-time for both Initial and Processed data.

i find a opensource software that can do it. it is no VST. maybe there are developers that help to continue it faster, but it work ok currently, only that it is standalone and midi only so no VST can add
