Just looking through the April edition of Computer Music which arrived yesterday (yeah, I don't understand how magazine calenders work either!) and there on page 108 is the preview of the May edition with a CM version of DUNE as the main piece of free software

Picture shown looks indistinguishable from the current version so remains to be seen what the limitations might be (please please not monophonic). Personally I'm hoping that DUNE 2 is on the way and it will be the full version, as they did last year with Z3TA 1.5 - well, can always hope!

It was inevitable that the news would get out sooner or later (it's not due out (in the shops) till Feb 29. Hope they haven't lost possible sales over this and maybe the hoo-ha will give it another boost. I'm sure they'll have taken all this into consideration in their strategy, probably just four days out of sync. Let's hope they still go ahead with it.
Does CM by subscription always come 3 or 4 days before the shop release ?

Dune CM lacks Dune's Effects section and it has half as many mod matrix slots (12 instead of 24).

Sounds great and should be all I need from Dune as long as the unison is fully there...

Lee, will the issue with Dune CM be already available as a download including content?

Cheers,

Tom

We're not ready with the downloadable content system yet, so this one will be available only with the print edition.

Thanks Lee, I think I'll pass this one then... ;-)

So soon we will be able to get a digital edition with all the files? How much will subscriptions be, and will we be able just to get a copy at a time? I'm in the US and this is great news for me :)
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Yes, we are working on a system where you'll be able to get the entire mag digitally (Apple Newsstand or Zinio + downloads for the disc content). We're hugely excited about it and can't wait for it to launch! Pricing isn't set yet. And yes, you'll be able to buy just one copy.

Oh I am happy, I'm a disabled hermit :D and besides the internet I don't 'get out much.' :) so even getting to the local bookstore is a challenge.

Mine usually arrives about 1 week before it hits the shops.

A GIFT FROM THE GODS
I demoed dune, and fell in love. Cried when it went away.

I don't think I would use all the modulation anyways, and I never use internal effects on my synths. My inserts are good, and I would prefer to stick to them.
