AmpliTube version 3.7.1 is now available as a free download/update.

This update is in response to players who wanted better allocation of CPU Power and RAM usage. Now, AmpliTube version 3.7.1 uses 30% less CPU power and 35% less RAM, allowing you to use more instances of AmpliTube on individual channel strips in your favorite DAW. The 30% reduction of CPU usage also means that player who use AmpliTube in standalone mode can run AmpliTube more efficiently on older, less powerful machines. This makes gigging out with AmpliTube even easier.

Other enhancements to AmpliTube include the addition of the Preset Up and Preset Down menu items in the StealthPedal controller dialogue menu, and overall stability enhancements.

Changes from version 3.7:

General:
  • Optimized RAM usage with an average savings of 35%
  • Optimized CPU usage with an average savings of 30%
  • Added preset browsing via StealthPedal external switches
  • Improved automation written from the StealthPedal controller
  • Fixed an issue that was corrupting the JCA20 audio response
Four Track Audio Player:
  • Fixed an issue that was corrupting the Pitch Shifter scale
  • Fixed an issue that may crash the application when adding an instance on the second track in the Four Track Audio Player

According to Activity Monitor, one instance of Amplitube 3.7.1 in Logic 9.1.5 now takes up 167 MB of RAM. A significant decrease from previous versions!

Looking forward to putting it through its paces - thanks very much for the time and work on this!

Thanks guys. This is the culmination of work which began with the development of AmpliTube 3.0. The development team did an outstanding job rebuilding AmpliTube. Enjoy their hard work! 8)

Great news!

Now that it's out the door, perhaps the IK web designers can finally get around to repairing the User Download section, so that it actually works with Firefox and doesn't just go round, round back to the User Menu in an endless loop, no matter how many times I click on the Downloads menu item?

It works in Safari, for Chrissake!

Best,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

it works fine for me in firefox on both mac and pc.

Sweet! Thanks, IK!

And, sorry, Spitfire, but I use Firefox with the IK site just fine. I know your pain; there are a few sites that do exactly what you say, and I have to use Chrome....
