Well so far so good :) Was getting the same CPU load in , Standalone/Reaper/Ableton Live but between roughly 120 to 150 less RAM use :D

The CPU efficiency doesn't seem to come into play until you start running multiple Amplitubes. Tried it in Live, 8 instances of Amplitube & 1 Fxpansions Tremor was maxing out @ 40 to 50% CPU!! :o I'd normally expect this to be more like a 70 to 80% CPU load. Nice job IK :tu:

No instability issues so far.

So, you were able to do this without sacrificing instant loading of sims? I always thought you could save a lot if you just allowed users to disable that and just load what gear is in a given patch on the fly.

Peavey2000, we did some heavy testing of the update. We all saw CPU saving. But if you're already getting low CPU usage, you might not notice it too much, e.g. a drop from 5% to 4%. It becomes more obvious when comparing a variety of presets.

Zerocrossing, Yes! The development team did an amazing job designing a minimal RAM loading engine that did not impact on-the-fly preset switching for live performance.

As you well know, AmpliTube is designed with particular attention to live playing, so making sure it delivers a smooth performance is very important to us. We took the time necessary to deliver this important new feature without compromise. It was a long time in the making, but I think it will prove to have been worth it.

This is great news as I've been waiting to use AT3 as primarily an effects engine. It was too inefficient before but now I think I'll go ahead and commit to using it more often, which means I have renewed interest in demoing the effects I don't have yet.

Awesome! Hopefully this will let Logic live when I need some 6 different instances of A3.

Why on earth does the new version introduce latency?

Ouch!

I thought it always had some small amounts of latency due to the cab sims.

It never increased the latency of my system. Is this true? Does the new version increase latency?

I've been using Amplitude since a while now, but I really did find it to be a bit of a pain in the noodle at times. It does NOT like to play fair with ToonTrack's EZ Drummer. I did find it to be a bit of a resource hungry app.

Well done, IKmultimedia - thanks for listening and trying to do something about your customer's concerns. Being a semi-pro Gospel artist I am very thankful that IK included the "Fender ish" amp sims in their free release. I also bought the actual Amplitude Fender twin Reverb '65 module. One of the very best $20 purchases I ever made, but it keeps crashing on me when I try to load it along side of some of my other VSTis. Most notably, EZdrummer.

God Bless y'all,
Charles

if it's not a bug on my side - yes!
I worked on a project before downloading the new version... 0 latency.
After installing 3.7.1 I get 256 samples latency(depending on my audio device I guess).

Is this intended Brian?
