Daily.
Really? :o

Might explain the chafing. :?
remember to take the dirty pair off first, that should help

Minor detail.
But an important one, after all this is a special occasion. :D

^Is that what it is, rack extensions?

Ok, so "Rack Extension" could either mean it's a VST version of Reason, or a plugin inside of Reason to host VST instruments/effects.

So maybe they avoid the whole stability issue by writing a single plugin that runs in it's own process and hosts other plugins?

PURE speculation/hope on my part. I honestly have no clue. But I HOPE it's not new hardware or any ithingie.

My host is better than your host

Phrases such as "Hur många köttbullar vill du äta idag då?" and "Va fan glor du på gammal gubbe?"
That's with the polite filter enabled. Turn it of and you'll get "Skarru äta, annars dra åt helvete" and "Vafan glor du på din felknullade senila gubbjävel". :x

I think Propellerheads wants to stop being a slave and start being the Master!

Do you forgot that what's great for the PH has nothing to do with the rest of us?
THOR was going to be "The End Of All Synths".... yes, the ones inside Reason :hihi:

Makes sense... Sell it as an optional application. Then, later, integrate it into Reason and claim it a new version!

I think it will be an extension of the rack where you could have recycle, vst's au etc within reason. What would be cool is to use propr cv with other vst without having to use zen moneky's workaround.

That could make for some fun stuff!

If it is something like that is going to take a while for third party folks and props to get everything working well.

Could be cool

Edit I also think that it will work with reason devices in other daw's but that might just be wishful thinking
no purchase until everything goes to usb 3.0 and all hosts are 64 bit!

Was it already mentioned, perhaps, we will have the ability to run Props synths in our DAW.

And charge users again for something they already paid for. :x

Long day and confused a few things.

you can get midi out with zen's workaround via reaper tools

Sorry for confusion

i do think it would be great if we could get both midi out and cv out to vst's which means we could play with hardware as well.

depending on how they have it setup they could make a bunch of folks happy

I think i'd use pulveriser
Crucially this would depend on whether they would want to charge me AGAIN for something I already paid for, as they are currently trying to charge me 149 euros for Reason 6 even though I already paid for Record 1.5 and Reason 5 (and no, the three new effects are certainly NOT worth 149!)

BUT... assuming I could use the instruments and effects that I have ALREADY PAID FOR once, but as standalone VSTs, I would use:

Instruments: KONG, THOR and Dr.OctoRex. Possibly ReDrum for fun.
Effects: Scream, RV7000, Pulveriser, The Echo.

The rest, frankly, as a long term user I would say are very under par compared to current VST instruments and effects.

My bad, what i meant was, we could run Thor i.e. alone, in say FL Studio.

I think it is much more compelling for Propellerhead to use VSTs in Reason, not the other way around.

I may be a bit slow here, but what would it be the advantage to use VST inside reason and be stuck with reason sequencer....
Probably only for reason affectionados. I have reason since 2.5 and up to 6, and I'm really struggling lately to find a reason to share my efforts in music in that environment having at my disposal Live and now Studio One with really amazing synths to work with. Why anyone would like to move his/her work into reason? Reason synths? Better workflow? Stability? S1 is a rock already.....
Why.... :help:
