I was just thinking entries are arriving a bit sooner this month than last...

I'm wondering whether I should listen to each individually, ensuring that any mesmeric effects have passed before moving on to the next, rather than my usual approach of waiting till the end of month and listening to the whole playlist in one hit... I could end up missing most of them...

I believe that approach would be the best at any kvr contest.
And i believe most songs are hypnotic by nature.

An hour! That's crazy! I'd be blown away by that track if you labored over it for a year! I've already spent like 6 hours working on mine and haven't even recorded a note yet.

I found this month to be a lot harder than I had imagined it would be when the theme was announced! Went down a few dead ends before things worked out, but it was fun getting there

My entry is submitted

Sampled my grandfather clock and it all just followed from there, helped by some great Freesound samples which took it in a completely different direction until it ended up in the twilight zone

Headphones on please for maximum psychoacoustic pleasure!

Hard to follow Doc Jon's superb entry with my submission.
But I am actually enjoying listening to all the entries though...

I recorded my song in around 8 hours.
But, it took about 12 fooking hours to mix (hate that part).
And another hour to upload to my website (WTF?).

I tried to go back to my early KVR days and write/produce
a song in one evening. Almost made it. Props to Emerald Tablet!

Like this a lot. Draws you in nicely. Slight critic. I think it would have been better if that central insistant sound eased into the background occasionally.

Interferon DreamingOnTheCouch
Broad synth pad sets a good scene and I like the way the percussion fades in. Good use of the stereo field. Fade out was a bit abrupt.

Interesting synth harp? sound. Not to sure about the disonant sort of skeletal melody. To me it tends to break the atmosphere rather than build it.

Mister Natural Conversation with Dali
Like this but it's far too 'awake' for me to think of as hypnotic, especially at the start.

Wasn't expecting the song - nice one, but again, a bit too bright.

Very original entry. A sort of musical montage, but I think I need to wear dark glasses!
