but the Mcgurk effect suggests the ears do, hence until you can convince people that they are not always hearing what they think they are hearing there will be no end to this discussion. Factor in the cross section of genres/artists/tastes/ here at KvR (there's really more to that sectiondjanthonyw wrote:null tests don't lie.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Amateurs! One of the best statements ever was something like this:
best quote wrote:Summing 8 - 16 digital tracks ITB with a 2.8 P4 will sound different then the same project on a multicore. It's a matter of CPU load in the summing process

Haha, I have no idea at all. Your guess is as good as mine. I think the guy who wrote the blog article is named Rodney, and I THINK I've seen that name on the Presonus forums as an employee, but I may be mistaken.hibidy wrote:But brent, this is kvr.
Coincidentally, some bozo spammed the reaper forum (including the all win troll poll!) and the Ibanez forums are just chock full o mucho spam.
Coincidence?
I'm not into thinking there is some grand conspiracy. Illogical fanboy posts pop up for any host. I'll just say that articles like this blog entry are ill-advised and misguided.

Perhaps, like in many other forums where there is argumentation, convincing the person you're arguing with is not the point. There are people less firmly entrenched in the "when reality and perception collide, my perception wins" concept who are reading silently. I think the more people realize their hearing is no more perfect than any other sense, the better off the music community will be.Hink wrote:FWIW I think perhaps always being argumentative with those that have yet not come to accept this only deters the person from accepting they are wrong.
For the record, I was only interested in this because that's a posting on the official Studio One blog. I use Studio One. Two things I don't want: 1, an effect I can't remove and 2, the software I use being promoted by people who should have a clue but don't.
FWIW, though, the Bruins suck.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
