When I first listened to that intro guitar I was reminded of Midnight Cowboy! Some nice treatments on the piano and guitar from 1:12 onwards. When the rhythm section kicks in it ties everything together. Some nice sounds in the background as well 8)

What do you use to make your field recordings?

Thanks Tim!

Just using an old Zoom H4 for recording. I'd like to update to something else but not sure what yet.

Nice sounds here : the piano sound is just imperfectly fine, and there is a creative usage of effects.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

damn, am I hallucinating again, must be the field recordings. Like the blend, different parts, the way things keep moving, different kinds of sounds and effects.

And I've just eaten. Too make matters worse, Ronnie then goes on to use words like delicious. Oh, the irony :wink:

Before the groove comes in there's a very evocative vintage gospel feel to this one - must be the 'open-air' noises and the acoustic piano - but there's something in the beautiful simplicity of that section which works really well for me...it's recognisably you, but different too - maybe it's just me...

Another thought-provoking work - nice one :D

:) Thanks you guys!

Production notes:

Gurgling = me and a paper tube
Chainsaw = toy hoover

All the field recordings were made in 2007, including the guitars, which were just open air recorded.
