Hi,

I have the pro version & am trying to figure out if it's possible to view the time in measures / beats & to set the tempo. At the moment the time line is set to seconds..anyone know how to set it bars/beats & set the tempo?

I'm 99% sure it doesn't do bars / beats, only time in seconds. It's an audio editor, not a DAW. And a damned good audio editor I might add.

I had the same question.

A shame, it is more than useful to have the timeline in bar/beat instead of Minuetes/seconds.

Actually I always switch in bar mode when it's possible.

Thanks for the reply Pd, but I'm with JC on this one. Audio editors should have this option.

Quick tip for those who don't know, you can edit tempo based audio in Multitrack DAW which has bars/beats timeline & set tempo option, before editing in hokusai. Would be better to do in just hokusai tho..

yep, that's why I always use Hokusai and Beat Twirl together, because I can switch to bar view in Beat Twirl.

Actually I just do some "non-tempo-related" jobs in Hokusai.
And the worst "feature" in Hokusai is the Time Stretch fonction, in % instead of BPM, almost useless...

There's no doubt that a bars / beats aware Hokusai would be a massive improvement. You could do complete song arrangements in it then. Maybe someday. As it stands I use Studio HD for that kind of thing.
