pure (practical) bullshitIIRC,
the noise floor is lower,
so if u accidentally recorded too low, then normalized,
it a great power less noise with the 64-bit.
Studio One sounds better, thanks to... It just does.

It has to do with the fact that it shows badly on Presonus (Cue fanbois)
If people like this can talk absolute junk (As shown by the post removal) and still represent a company and get paid to do so, yes it looks bad on Presonus, if you like that or not, is your issue not mine
So yes it is funny that this guy still has a job (Of which he knows absolutely nothing about, obviously)
Support independent developers, you may not get the flashiest website or best manual, but when they answer a question, at least it is factual hahahaha

That's the only reason why you lurk here, trolling. You are an absolute zero for this forum...gpunk wrote:(Cue fanbois)

By the way, you may want to actually look into what the word fascist, and what it means before spouting complete and utter rubbish, using words you have little understanding of tends to make you look very silly

Have you even read the rules of this forum ?
And attacking people for having an opinion, what is that ?
Again i repeat "Well done, feel better now ? "
Just because you don't think this idiot made Presonus look bad does not mean that isn't the case, and me pointing it out does not make me a fascist (Seriously look up the word before using it because you "think" you know what it means)
You have made yourself look very very silly by using that word out of context and also broken the forum rules, do I care, not really, because why would somebodies opinion on a forum bother me, oh that's right, because i'm a fascist hahahahaha
Well done

You need a dictionary and a history lesson. He is not a fascist. And the guy should definitely be reprimanded, if not fired. It was a dumb move that damages the company's credibility.standalone wrote:Yes, you are a fascist no doubt.

For comparisson, here's a claim made in a printed advert in the current issue of Music Tech Magazine (and no doubt all the other mags too):
AVID Marketing wrote:Introducing Pro Tools 10, the next generation of the best sounding, most powerful audio production software for recording, composing, editing and mixing music and sound for picture.

Yes but hasn't pro tools -always- been surrounded by that kind of BS? I don't know if any of it came from the actual developers but it seems like their userbase, more than any other, perpetuates ridiculous myths like "our 1+1 results in a better 2 than your DAW because of the superior audio engine"

It's not about definitions, it's about experience and solid clues. In my own experience, everybody that I have known able to laugh at someone losing his/her job were fascists, every and each one of them. It's as simple as that. So for me, your dear friend is a fascist.braj wrote:You need a dictionary and a history lesson. He is not a fascist. And the guy should definitely be reprimanded, if not fired. And let me add that I don't have the slightest respect for anyone who suggest that other person should lose his/her job, like you have done here too.

Wow, some people really take themselves too seriously. I mean, really, I think the blog post was extremely ill-advised, but getting fired? Really? I don't know the guy at all, but maybe he's still very good at his job despite a mistake or two?
Seriously, who hasn't said something stupid in the heat of excitement. Nobody would have a job if that was criteria for employment. I just find it extremely idiotic that people look for every opportunity to troll and bash.
Does it make you feel better to make a bigger deal out of something than it probably is? I mean, really, I highly doubt this will hurt Presonus AT ALL. The vast majority of the audio world will never see the post, and don't hang out here. So the guy made a mistake and gave some opinions that were ignorant of facts.
I would bet that most people in this thread are not Presonus customers(or at least Studio One owners), and probably never intended on purchasing Studio One. My GUESS, based on nothing more than past history in this forum, is that most of those making a big deal out of it are users of a competing product.
I'll be called a fanboy or whatever else people can come up with, sure. But let's be realistic here, shall we? Does it REALLY bother you THAT much that an employee of a company you have nothing to do with isn't getting fired for making a mistake? If that DOES bother you, I sincerely feel sorry for you.
Disagreeing with the guy is one thing, but wishing for him to lose his job? Ridiculous.
