Ok, I really want to get tvec4 and the new price is really fair but I am frustrated there is no keyswitching to intuitively start and stop or jump between different patterns, even interrupting a pattern with a new pattern, when composing a song... Seems to me this would greatly enhance the utility of tvec4 and I think it's an oversight which should be corrected
I can't imagine not being able to keyswitch between articulations and likewise for patterns... I assume we can start and stop the pattern part way thru...??? Can wee trigger a pattern part way thru?
As I understand it, the only way to activate pattern changes is after the fact, in an overdub or cc addition. While this may make sense to pros charting out songs, it seems very cumbersome to someone like me who writes/creates real time. I don't chart out scores... And there is no way to audition/play around with pattern combinations... A simple system to assign patterns to keys and a start/stop system (ie, sustain peddle) would expand creativity immensely, as well as tvec4's usefulness.
If keyswitching will be added soon, I'd buy all three (cs2,cb2, diamond) immediately...but as it stands I'm reluctant. I just think this is a super important feature to make patterns really useful...
What do you all think?
Kirk?

His name's Kirk, you know.
I can't answer all the questions, but there is a decent video on the site showing TVEC 4 in action. It might answer some of your questions.
On this page, about the fourth line from the top (click on "See Video"):
http://www.kirkhunterstudios.com/tvec4.html
That might be helpful in the meantime.

Kirk has sent an email around to the mailing list. Looks like the special intro price offer is extended to April 15th. Which is nice

The email says April 15th, but the site still says March 15th, so it's possible that the email was mistyped. Unless, of course, the site is just out of date. For anyone who wants to upgrade and get the sale pricing I wouldn't wait.
Maybe we'll hear from Kirk... just to be certain.

The video link and writeup sure show it is a powerful system... http://www.kirkhunterstudios.com/videos ... nMaker.mov
Didn't realize Kirk was adding a note based sequencer to tvec4! Just thought it was a rhythm generator, like LASS's ART system...
I can see how it might be challenging to quickly add a keyswitching system to tvec4, given that it includes both rhythms and notes... but I still hope it is possible as it will improve quick song development in the intuitive fashion I work...
In this regard, is it possible to turn OFF the note sequencer portion of TVEC4 and just use the rhythm part (duration/velocity)and play our own notes real time, having them sequenced "rhythmically" like in ART? If so, great, as I like coming up with parts freeform on a keyboard and my main challenge is getting the orchestral rhythms down...
I'm really glad Kirk's extended the pricing deal to April 15th...This is true, RIGHT, Kirk? I'm flat busted at the moment!
BTW, Kudos to Kirk for coming up with this so soon after the mega group buy after some of us started begging for this!

Guessing Kirk must be in backlog at present, I have the same issue outstanding, email request sent to Kirk.Ryan99 wrote:Hi Kirk, I sent you an e-mail a couple days ago and I received no reply so far.
I have a problem with the download of the upgrades of TVEC 4. I dowloaded them once for my 3 products. The following day, you sent an e-mail about fixes, but I can't download again from the download page. I get a message that said that the maximum downloads have bee reached.
Anyone else got this problem? Can you reset the downloads links please on my e-mail?
Thanks!

Re: TVEC4...
Kirk just confirmed the sales price is indeed good until April 15. Also,
that we can turn off the notes portion to play our own notes to the rhythmic generator (velocity/durations) He also implied the keyswitching is something he's gonna get to, which seals the deal for me!
Now I just gotta dig up the $$$$.
Glad my partner found another dude...had to find her own job and pay her own bills. Freedom!

Remember that you can download a free demo here and try everything for yourself...
http://www.kirkhunterstudios.com/signup ... 4_demo.php
It's only an octave and every 500 notes you have to reload the patch (and with multiple voice and pattern playing you reach the limit very quickly) but it gives you the idea anyway

Hi!
I've got PopRockStrings, Kontakt4 player, tvec 2
- Can I get vibrato and tremolo in sync with the host tempo?
-- Can I set a vibrato-speed?
- How is the velocity working? Just hit a velocity with the key, and not able to swell or change timbre with volume/modwheel? (Yes, see there's an eqLive option)
- Can I have vibrato and modwheel-volume on separate controllers?
- I don't notice any difference using the sustain-pedal??
Thanks!
