Hey Tick,
Just curious about the status of the Rhino update. Too early to get an idea of an anticipated release date?
Cheers!

Damn. If I say 2 weeks, you may get false hopes. If I say 2 months, you'll be disappointed. Hmmm... let's say somewhere in between

I'm sure I've probably asked this before, but is there any chance of Rhino crossgrades for customers that already own 2 or more Big Tick products? And are poor?
Cheers

As much as we love our users, the answer is no. Even though my heart is with you (I've been poor too, and I'm not rich now
), the business says: there is no way to get lower prices. Please consider that:
- a lot of people think Rhino is already extremely cheap, given what it does
- we already have a lot of users who happily paid the full price for it, even though they already own all our other stuff. Getting you a discount wouldn't be fair to them...
Sorry about that,

Hey Tick -
Thanks for the reply, I already assumed as much!
And no worries, it totally makes sense... and for the record, I do think that Rhino is *extremely* cheap for what it does, very enormous VFM here....i just can't afford it
I'm actually glad to see developers sticking to their prices. There are some VSTi devs who seem to constantly devalue their own offerings by offering better and better deals, which gives some prospective customers cold feet, thinking 'what I buy now for $100 will be selling for $40 in a month or two...', and it makes you wonder what value the developer themselves sees in the product...
Cheers

- if Z3ta+ had the same price as Rhino I'm not
sure which one I would have bought (maybe both)
but they are about the same league - I probably would
buy tomorrow the Zeta as well if René would sell it for the same price as Mr. Tick sells Rhino -
but with it's current price I will NEVER buy it.
I bought the dash bundle and am glad that I did.
I love Eve - but I wouldn't spend much more for it than I did.
I bought Rhino and then about two weeks later
the dash-bundle - if Rhino would cost 159$ and dash wouldn't have had their bundle I would have bought a tube-microphone instead. Music gear is rarely somthing that you need - it's something that you want. Low prices make it more attractive for me
because I get more for my hard-earned money.
- for me it's that simple.

I think we all know who you are talking about. I just got an email from them today, and they are offerring their vsti's for 30% of a good deal that they offerred a short time ago. It seems like every time they need some money, the price comes crashing down. That causes users to hold off buying, hoping that the price will go even lower. As you said, ya have to wonder how much value the dev puts on his own work!Laserguided wrote:Hey Tick -
