Well, it doesn't seem to do much unless I set the input and output gains to extremes. I mean, if I load it into a vocal track, it lowers the volume... to the point that I have to increase the volume to get it back into the mix.

Even a before/after audio on the site would help. Is there a tutorial video somewhere?

No tutorial yet. Anyway it's purpose is exactly to be transparent - just try lowering volume of your vocals temporarily and you'll see what it does. Using extreme input/output gains is exactly what you should NOT do. In fact, the less the plugin does (which is visible on the gain meter) the better.

Okay, I used it on a new track (which you can listen to here). I just put the plugin on the track, didn't do anything with it, and this time I hear everything it's supposed to be doing, and it helps a lot, so thanks, Vojtech!

However, there is definitely a problem. I apologize for my lame vocals on the track -- long story, late night. And part of the reason it was a late night is that MAutoVolume (at least the 64-bit version) kept locking up Reaper, and my system, tighter than a bank vault.

One instance on a vocal track, no prob. Two instances, no prob. Three instances, and everything froze and stuttered and then just sat there. I had the Task Manager open, and Reaper's CPU use swung wildly from 50% to 100% and back again, but I couldn't get any system response. No keys, no mouse, nothin'.

I had to reboot six times, and when I finally figured out the problem I had to uninstall MAutoVolume completely (because my Reaper config was to Load Most Recent Project, so it kept bringing back all three instances). I reinstalled it, used it on the two vocal tracks I had, and by then it was 1:30 a.m. and I had to get the damn song uploaded and I'll fix it later this week but my GOD it was frustrating.

So, unless and until there's some CPU reduction on it, I'm going to have to be careful how I use it, is all I'm sayin'. Still sounds great.
