Hey guys,

I just recently got an arturia spark drum machine and want to use it as a plugin inside ableton but the spark plugin wont show up in the VST folder inside ableton. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I checked the actual folder after installing the spark software and the plugin file is in there. I dont know what the issue could be any help would be great, thanks! :help:

Hi Photofidelity,

I'm from Arturia...but not from tech support. Maybe you should open the preferences in Live, go to "fle folder" and click "rescan".

You can also try holding Alt/Option while clicking on Rescan so that Live does a completely new scan of the directory.

Hope it will help!

Have a good week end,

Denis

Thanks Denis, I did resolve the issue it was my fault, upon installing the spark application I forgot to separate the two spark vst files (the 32bit from the 64 bit) so I uninstalled the program reinstalled and told the files where to go but kept them separate. Ableton now sees the spark plugin inside the program and all is working flawlessly. As far as the arturia spark goes, So far I am enjoying the process its very intuitive, User friendly and just plain fun which is what my music making is about just havin a good time!

Thanks again for the help!

I am having this same issue and have no clue what he meant by separating the files. I have deleted and reinstalled Spark once already to see if I was missing a place to choose where to install the files and it didnt give me that option. My plugins for my Essential 49 are working fine but I can not get the Spark to work, anyone to respond on the youtube videos from Arturia about Spark 2. I'm really getting worried here. I have Abelton Live Lite that came with my 49. Please help.

Ableton has relatively poor support for third party plug ins and can only scan two VST folders directly, you may just have installed Spark to a different directory. Take a look in your ableton preferences files to see which folder it is looking at for your VSTs and then install Spark to the same folder. If that doesnt work go to Arturia support directly https://www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp/issues they usually get back anywhere from ten minutes to a couple of hours.
