Congratulations!
I've got Audio Evolution running on my HTC. So far it's smooth as can be. The FX sound great. I've done some quick recordings and everything is working perfectly.
I've read the manual but I still have a couple of questions-

I see the latency adjustment is in frames. Is this number (3072) a default or is that adjusted for my particular phone? Caustic reports 70 ms latency on my phone, what should I set the Audio Evolution latency to?

How do I delete a track? Probably obvious, but I can't figure it out. I can delete a file, but not a track.

Can I delete a marker?

Is the aux switch on the reverb a pre/post switch?

Thanks for the help, and once again congratulations on a great release.

Edit: Ok I found the long press menu for looping!
That works.great. I am a little unclear on the options (between regions, attach to previous sample?) but I will get it figured out.

Thanks for the compliment and the questions!

At 44100 Hz, 3072 frames is indeed 70 ms. I just take the size of one buffer as initial value for latency. I have tried to make a decent formula for the 3 devices I have here, but all react differently. And it's worse, since there is no Android API for sync playback and recording, the latency might even vary a little between recording sessions.

Select the first mode (move) for safety, and long-press a sample or an empty space on the track. When you long-press a sample, scroll all the way to the bottom of the sample pop-up menu. For the track pop-up menu, it's the first item.
Note that my HTC desire is very picky on long-presses, so it might be that you need to increase the 'Pop-up menu range' in the Global Prefs to 4 pixels or so to get to the pop-up menu reliably.
Can I delete a marker?
Ah, that's something I didn't port yet from the desktop version it seems! I'll add it to my todo list.
Is the aux switch on the reverb a pre/post switch?
It was meant as a switch where setting it to one is useful if you put it on an Aux Send. Then it won't mix, but will replace the original sound with only the reverb. There is no Aux Send yet in the Mobile version and it seems that setting to 1 (all the way to the right) puts it some sort of feedback loop, so I'd better remove it for now!

Ah, you can create loops like that will lots of options indeed. Experiment a little and I'll continue on the manual today.

Congratulations on the release. I hope you have never-ending success.

The product is simply amazing - one of the top two DAW/audio apps available for Android.

Absolutely right, the HTC is just picky. Changed the pixels to 4, now I can get the pop-up menu. Thanks.

The latency is a little random, but it's totally workable. I can't believe how smoothly this is running. :)

Meanwhile, version 1.0.5 has been released (it takes some time before Google Play updates the version).

I have added a compressor plug-in and fixed a bug that prevented popping up a menu in the channel and group mixer.

Big A+ for you dwrae. Audio Evolution mobile is a must have for any one who wants to mix under Android. I'm using it with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10,1

Cheers!

Just had a quick play on my Galaxy S (almost 2 years old!) and it seems to work really well. Will have a better play once I get home from work. I was using another 4 track app before, but this kills it completely.
A metronome would be nice.

Excellent work!

Instabuy! Got it!

Hey, nice update!
The compressor sounds really good.
Grouping tracks is easy, well thought out.
Thanks!

Uploaded version 1.0.7 which includes fixes for latency.

On my HTC Desire and Sony Tablet S, the variation in latency between recordings is now much lower. Don't forget to measure and readjust the latency correction if you have entered it already, because it may not be valid anymore. Negative values are also allowed now.

Uploaded version 1.0.9 with a bug fix in mastering: the wav file that was saved was actually an AIFF file, sorry!
Now you can select between AIFF, WAV and FLAC file types when mastering too.
