Instead of going through the back and forth here, you posted ticket number and Brian will bring it to the attention of the support manager and it will all get hashed out.

A big thanks for this update IK !
The reduced CPU hit feels like a free DAW upgrade as I often use several AT3 instances for bass and guitars. Now there is horsepower left to enable e.g better reverb quality settings, so instant gratification here
I also appreciate that now the latency is reported correctly! As a REAPER user I now also have to disable PDC for AT3-plug for live tracking but for mixing it is really important to have the correct latency reported (and compensated by the DAW), e.g. using AT3 in parallel e.g. on snare drum tracks would lead to phase issues otherwise.

So far I haven't learn how to browse the AT presets. Can you do that in
the way what is most logical and convinient for the user: i.e.
after you have chosen the instrument and the genre, these presets
appear to the window. If you activate the first preset in this list and then try to get the next one in the list by clicking the preset arrow in the
top side of the interface - no! - you don't get the next preset in the list.
(99 % of the plugins preset browser work in the way that the up-down arrow brigns the next/previous in the list - in the IK way you have double-click again and again and again and again and again ...)
IK - do I get something wrong or is this very basic feature that difficult to implement. Your way makes the browsing of the presets very confusing.
I don't give a damn about the browsing with the SteatlhPedal, first you should fix this fundamental issue I menion above, then maybe finetune pedal browsing.
Harry
Thanks

Harry - Sorry we missed that question. The Preset Browser and Preset Manager are two different methods of managing presets. Therefore the arrows at the top used for the Preset Manager are not meant to directly control the Preset Browser which is why you'd run into what you did.

the most common feature to my AT (most of my software instruments and effects have it) where by one click I can choose the next preset. Now AT works in the way that the next-click (arrow) brings some accidental looking presets (chose from the hundreds of presets, tens of different categories) , using the next-click is as it now works useless. The user should be able to choose
a group on presets which belong to the same category (as the browser now allows to do) and then browse this subgroup by clickin the new-arrow.
This feature is a very basic one but it saves a lot of end-users time. Therefore I wonder why the IK has not executed it, I made a remark of this more than a year ago. Instead creating fundaments, the IK has been busy with many minor and useless feature for the AT.
Enjoy this justifiable criticism and please try do something also consumer-driven, not just business-driven (e.g. the stupid AT gear shop is a typical business-driven, candi-like but useless feature). Business is a necessity but in the long term as you do the products, also your business will suffer.

Yeah...do something consumer-driven, like maybe using the Custom Shop feature to occasionally drastically reduce prices of gear, or, maybe even give away some for free once in a while.Harry_HH wrote:Enjoy this justifiable criticism and please try do something also consumer-driven, not just business-driven (e.g. the stupid AT gear shop is a typical business-driven, candi-like but useless feature). Oh, wait a minute.
Sounds, to me, like useless criticism of a very consumer friendly feature.

these people and maybe there are really enough user who enjoy more
do shopping than do music, fill their computer with sfuff from which
they really use 0,1 per cent. We don't need 1000 version of
some quasi-modelled amp, the differencies in sound are minimal in the bottom line. See e.g. Waves amp farm: 10-20 model per each genre is enough to cover even demanding use(genre means here e.g. "clean vintage" or "drive stadion set" or likewise). BTW, I have compared 4 diffrent products (Guitar Rig, Waves, Speakerphone and AT, althoug some AT modellings are very good, they concentrate too much in stupid things like I have expressed - less is more here). You really don't hear the difference in the final mix of all these 1000 version of e.g. distorted amps which IK offer, buying more and more all these "models" is kind on wanking, has minimal to do with real music playing/production. I bet you don't here the differece of most of the e.g. drive amp models, really. But if you have too much time and mony and like to wander in the "IK shopping mall" like some bored housewife, rather than practice music, be my guest. But let me say the king has no clothes, here. If you're referring to the H. C. Andersen story, the poor victim of the tailors' con game was the Emperor, not a mere king.Harry_HH wrote:…But let me say the king has no clothes, here. Harry
Metafor has a tendency of falling flat when quoted incorrectly, thereby revealing the quoters lack of education in the subject at hand.

So far everything is a-okay. I don't think every update needs extra stuff. I loved the simple fact that you were crunching code to see how to get it more efficient. I needed that more than another amp or something else.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Thanks. Other than hopefully forgiving AmpliTube for shooting Reaper from the grassy knoll, how's everybody getting on with it?
I know we didn't add gear this time, but the optimization was a big milestone for us so thanks for bearing with it being a gearless update. Any other ideas?

I don't know, seems to me that an entire update dedicated to drastically slashing CPU and RAM usage is pretty customer driven.Harry_HH wrote:

And many people like the custom shop. Just because you think it's useless doesn't make it non-customer driven, does it?
