Same here. If we're talking about popular culture then I guess it's different. But popular culture I don't think always dictates where things are going. If we're talking about niches I don't think the majority of people are that into music anyway. If you take the success of something like the iPod I think that's driven more by the iPod itself as a gadget rather than the music people play on it. Most people in 'popular culture' only buy music because they have the disposable income to do so. As a music fan I'd spend my last pennies on buying a record or CD I like (as I have done in the past when I was out of work & claiming unemployment benefit. ALL of it went on vinylT-CM11 wrote:"portion of the population" is only relevant to marketing people. Almost all of the music I listen (in many genres, just not "charts" bullshit) to is still being released on vinyl and CD.

Shame it's not being broadcast live but in Propellerhead's newsletter they said that it would be recorded & shown as soon after as possiblebmrzycki wrote:The event announcement is scheduled for 2012-20-03 18:00 CET Frankfurt, Germany. Or as Dogboy73 said, a little under 3 hours from now.

Live tweeting is most likely by attendees, I'll RT what I can but I recommend following the #propellerhead and #musikmesse hashtags on twitter too.
Oh and, uh, I'm Mattias. Product specialist and social media guy. Hi!
