Well, looked good in the App store so I took a chance and bought it. No user manual, doesn't appear to be anyway to set up the i/o to/from whatever host you're using (supposedly it will work with Reaper, which is why I got it)
Anyone using this at all? I sent an email to the developer. Hopefully they will get back to me soon...
Absum-8...anyone using it?

Have you been able to make any other wireless MIDI programs work between your computer and idevice?

LOL, yea actually I have, kind of unexpectedly.... I'm working on a Lemur program to control my AMDJ MidiPAK light boxes and most of the time I was using the midi connection between the iPad and the host PC. For doing a quick test I disconnected it from the pc and connected it to one of my MidiPAKs and was controlling the lights - and noticed that the Lemur editor was following what I was doing....
I heard back from the Absum developers. They said that Apple posted the app a bit faster then they expected and plan to have some info up at the sight soon. I haven't tried controlling Reaper with it yet. They did say it should be able to work fine with midi - but I didn't see where you could select that as an option and have sent a question back to them about it.
Now back to wrapping my head around Lemur....

Just bought it. NO PC instructions at the website, and NO mention that it is MAC only.
The mac instructions explain how to set up the network side of it, any tips on a PC equivalent?
I have Cubase iC AND Lemur which both work with the help of their own 'networking' addon apps for the PC, but there is nothing for Absum.. Surely im not the first to ask this? Love to check it out, Absum looks cool.

Ok i got it working with rtpMIDI (as per the iTunes description, it should also be on their website).
All i can say is it needs a fair bit of work to be up there with Lemur and Cubasis iC Pro.
I cant wait for the Slate Ravens to be cheap enuff in 5 years so we can stop using iPads!
