I'm sorry to say but we're struggling to meet any sort of sensible release deadlines on these products - the whole Tachyon project has got so big now it is pretty much maxing out all our meagre resources (and we've been hiring too!)
Positron, Neutron and the updates to Atom and Electron all very advanced on the coding side but sadly just not finished yet. Until Tachyon is out of the way I can't offer any further information than that.
Regards
Dave

Hey
Hope you're doing fine. I can hardly wait for Positron and Neutron.
Reflex from basement arts didn't do it for me, hope Neutron fares better.

I'm also quite a bit interested in Neutron, but I haven't yet figured out it's main forte. Is it a drum machine (like the SR202 but with more/better functionality), or is it a loop slicer, or something in between? Will it have a built in step sequencer?
Will it ship with top notch sample content?

Any of Neutron's 16 pads can either hold a multi-sampled percussion instrument, or a loop. Loops can be imported, or sliced up from a wave file in memory and when they play they always play in sync with the host tempo automatically (though you can isolate them and access the slices underneath if you need to). Each channel in Neutron has its own built-in MIDI sequencer - no reason why we couldn't put a step display in there for each pad, good suggestion!
