Er, I'd MUCH rather use Rado, or the default theme. I remember when Mac OS X came out and people would make their Windows machines try to look like a Mac, it looked aweful, and didn't act like a Mac anyhow. It is like one of those VW with a Rolls Royce grill. Ew. Reaper has its own nice themes, why make it look like another DAW's bastard child?

So after trolling every single Cubase thread in internet you all put a Cubase skin on Reaper, no?

:hihi:

Exactly, but you know what they say about putting lipstick and a dress on a pig ...
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

The rado v4 works best here. Ymmv. I have the "vox" as well but to me it's busier and I also like "janneuniverse" but it is a bit bright.

Alter Ego 4.10 + Reaper 4.20 = best DAW Ever

if you choose small channel layout you can have 30 channels visible
at any time with all major controls, meters, their first 5 inserts
and the first 2 sends visible for each of the 30(!)...

...WHILE AT THE SAME TIME YOU ARE MIXING/MASTERING/SEQUENCING... :o

...the best VIP DAW place EVER!

That's on a 22 screen with 1920x1080 resolution but still the BEST
DAW view in a smaller monitor/resolution also.

For this alone people using Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Samplitude
are buying a second monitor so as to have the mixer always open
while working...

I can't believe I just said that. I'm in shame, my head and logic says a gui is irrelevant, my eyes compell me to challenge the logic :-o]:

EDIT:...and yes, I have the screen real estate and resolution to use it :P

...also, that xXx WIP skin is looking like it might be pretty good as well...

reaper is as good and as bad as cubase is. it depends on the user in front of it. i use cabase and its rock-stable. i havent any issues with cubase 6.5. ofcourse you have some crashes but i had them with logic on mac too. maybe once a month. thats quite normal if you use a daw heavily. cubase bashing shows me that you cant be taken serious in this.

who was bashing cubase?

Post

I see the post now.

marnau, it's not really fair to say that unless you are quoting that person and this thread is slightly old. Not much cubase bashing going here.

Back to themes: I love my RADO themes!
