Are there any newly released VSTs that specialise in reproducing those light and "happy" 80s sounds?

Post

Just search this forum while only entering the word 80's and heaps of threads on this topic will arise.

It depends on what you call 'new'. Much of DIVA for instance is '80s .

The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

Discovery can get very 80s itself. It has lots of presets to play with.

SQ8L and Proteus VX
+2. they will pretty much get you there, covering ROMpler (Proteus) and semi-modular wavetable synth (SQ8L).

They can pair up to nail the Dx7/Fairlight/analog polysynth 80s sound. The E-MU and Ensoniq stuff was everywhere here in America. In Europe and Asia they were more boutique items.

To me 80's synths sounds are those "sample impulses meet synthesis" type sounds ala Korg M1 or Roland D-50/JD990

Juno 106 is what screams 80s for me :) Thanks for more suggestions, I will try majority of them hopefully and check what's best for me :)

Theres a fairly decent free emulation of the popular 80s mono synth 'Jen' ... it's called Leto. As I say, it's free so worth searching for and trying out
