I have also little moeny (not so little) and have many pricey hobbies but save months get what i want. even its pricey but there is so many nice free and maybe also nice cheap synths. at least u-he ace is nice (i only tested demo but still)....

ummm... why the heck, do I not own zebra myself? (ah, I know, I can't put cash together... I always have to spend it when it's in my hands... sometimes I feel like, I'm stupid!)

Still i must say some synths dont work some uses to me Zebra based audiodemos and ZebraCM dont well all kind sounds but is one most complete synths still which means you don t need long list of synths if you get synths what are kind what i mean. Actually 2-3 covers all what i need then i have more but i mainly going use only threee.

You should also check out some free synths like Tyrell N6, Zebralette, Synth1, Oatmeal (You probably want to use the Limeflavour skin for that one), SQ8L and maybe Charlatan for something very basic with a nice sound.
Bazille is also amazing and free at the moment (will stay free the whole year).

For some affordable (but awesome) effects you should check out ValhallaDSP, Sknote, the Uhbik bundle and the other offerings of Audio Damage.

Variety Of Sound offers some amazing free effects.

Many people also like the free effects and synths from Togu Audio Line, I never really liked them but that doesn't matter here

There are many other cool things out there but these are my favorite ones.
For some things you'll have to search and try a bit more (especially for free synths and effects since there are so many out there).

A hope this helps and gives you a good starting point!

Just on a personal note: I suggest you to save a bit and get something like Zebra (My personal favorite) since you probably won't need another synth for quite some time (or ever) with that one (which could save you quite some money in the long run).

If you have $100 a month to spend save up for 2 months and get Zebra

Really would be worth it IMO, it can do several other synth's jobs and being semi modular can combine those tools in ways that a few separate cheaper synths can't. There's a few freebies I use for more unusual things but for standard synthesis I think it's easier to just pick one really deep synth like Zebra or SynthMaster or something than constantly picking up new synths.

Here's my shot at translation

From his perspective, Zebra audio demos don't do all the sounds you may want, but still is one of the most versatile, complete available, and ultimately you don't need a ton of synths, just 2 or 3 that cover the sounds you need.

DCAM: Synth Squad. 3 Synths in one so well worth paying that little bit extra, loads of features to get really creative with.

Or Xils lab synthix £108.99 an emulation of the classic synthex but with loads more.

I'd take first Loomer Aspect in this price range. Browse the factory presets and you'll understand why.

and i mean when synth so complex like Zebra it reducts amount synths what you need.

Best VSTis for under $100?
