For many Synth1 sounds, try these links:
https://sites.google.com/site/synth1vst/links (scroll down to "Presets Links")
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&what=214
Thanks for the links! I hope DownLoadThemAll works with these types of files.

Coming from the guy who took other people's patches, tweaked them a bit and then redistributed them........
Primadonna!

Well if being a Prima Donna means not liking when people take credit for other people's work then yes I'm a Prima Donna....

But that makes someone who would take credit for other people's work a "scumball"......... :P

For the record I don't know if my banks were included in the link but if they were I don't mind if they are included in a collection as long as they remain unaltered. That's keeping in the Spirit of Synth 1. However if even one contributor objects then he whole collection must not be shared.....and I can understand why someone would not want their patches redistributed and respect that decision..... :)

Well said, and thanks for saying it. *curtsey* That's the big drawback to an unauthorized omnibus collection.

I'm starting to see why this synth is always ranked so high on the product rank list now. These are some great sounds!

Is there a list of all the Synth1 soundsets somewhere? If not someone should compile one.

The original link from where these patches are coming from do list all the patch creators for every bank.
pcf, as Meffy pointed out, made the mistake to bypass the original page by packing everything probably without the due credits. I'm not positive because I didn't use his link, just mine from other source.
About permission, then that's another story. I don't know what are the rules for free synth's banks. Probably the *Curtsey* should be used regardless and who collected those banks on that page, I know of, surely did, properly, credit the creators.

Credit? Who gives a flap about credit for FREE patches, made on a FREE synth? You are kidding right? Ok, I'm not really helping this thread, but this seems kinda silly to me. Since the synth and the patches are all offered for free, they will get traded, copied, cloned over and over and over forever on the internet. No one cares where they came from. If ya want credit, kudos, and whatnot SELL the patch banks if they are that good.

10,000 patches? How many are actually useful verses 90% pointless noises or repetative crap?

We are talking about a, probably, new term for you, CURTSEY.

The forum rules do.

I just think that it would be far better overall to create a comprehensive list (Maybe even with links), then people could get them themselves from the proper source.

Kinda like this guy's doing - > https://sites.google.com/site/synth1vst/links

Yup.

If the only kind of argument you understand is financial arguments, let me point out that PR and good-will (potential results of offering something for free) have potential fiscal value. "Free" does not necessarily mean "worthless". Someone's creation is their intellectual property. You do believe in the right to private property, don't you?

i had inadvertently linked to this stuff in a reply to another thread. mods closed the thread, and I had no idea. my apologies (didn't even cross my mind, just thought I was being helpful and sharing my google expertise), thanks to the mods for keeping this board straight. I feel a little dumb (how did I ever miss this thread?).
