Honestly: Which part of Reason do you recognize in this App?
Are you confusing the user interface with the whole application? They're using part of it, probably the audio engine. Which is why they describe Figure as 'Powered by Reason' not 'an iOS port of Reason'.
Its really not that hard to understand.

Is this thing out yet? For $1 it'll still be a fun toy.. and if it supports AudioCopy, it may actually be useful, to boot :)

It's just fun to play with and the UI is great. I really can't complain - if they called it 'Reason Lite' I'd be pissed but it's a fun little sketchpad. Man - if they redid Rebirth with a UI like this it would be awesome (on the iPad ;)).

It just showed up... sorry for the redundant post! I definitely hate it when threads repeat themselves.

I've now noticed something really special with Figure:

It seems to be one of those RARE apps that I find myself actually wanting to open up AGAIN after some time away from it... I already feel addicted to this app!

In that sense the Props have really managed to create something useful here, quite literally. The formula that works here is that it's so easy and fast to create a pattern, while at the same time knowing that I can shape and control stuff according to taste. So every time I launch it, it's with that feeling "let's see if I can create anything really cool sounding this time". The master bus compressor really helps to glue everything together soundwise in a coherent way.

I actually have to upgrade my opinion of Figure. Earlier today I thought it was good. Now I have to say that it's f**king brilliant!! Props to the Props!

Now just let us export our Figure patterns to Reason 6.5 -- complete with all the notes/sequencer data, automations and sound parameters for Thor and Kong -- and they'll definitely have a winning horse here.

5/5 stars from me. :tu:

I'm liking it, and it was worth the buck.
But if they had just made it a little more feature rich, it would be a LOT better.
Loops longer than 2 bars and some kind of audio export, at least. Ability to chain patterns even better.

Still, it's a lot of fun, and will hopefully be expanded in the future.

Just let us audiocopy or export to some sort of useable audio format. Then it is killer on its own for quick beat creation (like iMaschine)

Looks like it's audio line out/in to ableton to record some quick and fun clips to see what I can do.. Sure is easy to get variations anyway...
