I picked up the app, and it sounds lovely. Do we have any idea when AudioCopy might be supported? If that were in place, I could use it a lot more and would spring for the full library. As it is, it sounds great to play, but I can't really use it in my iPad productions.

It is coming, but I don't yet have an estimate on when. We're testing the AmpliTube update that has copy/paste now, though, so we've got the ball rolling.DrApostropheX wrote:I picked up the app, and it sounds lovely. Huzzah! That is great news (and may be enough to tip me towards the full sounds package... too bad I can't use my JamPoints for that
How long is that 50% off deal running anyway? Mid April would be perfect)! Any plans for VirutalMIDI support in the future?

Bought the app and I'll probably buy the full pack by the end of the month. Either way, I can't wait to hear more about these big plans (dare to dream that one day I'll be able to move .sti/.stw files from my PC to my iPad?ObiK wrote:We have big plans for the future updates of SampleTank iOS and the sale is going til the 30th of April so don't miss out!

Running until the 30th... I haven't heard about VirtualMIDI support but I'll put the suggestion in there.DrApostropheX wrote:Huzzah! I'm new to this whole iOS music-making thingie, but I've been using SampleTank since 2002 (so coming up on 10 years.. wow!). I think VirtualMIDI is the thing that lets you play your iOS instruments with your MIDI sequencing Apps. So you can have a sequence from Genome playing your SampleTank, then AudioCopy it to MultitrackDAW or what have you.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Running until the 30th... The ability to import instruments from ST libraries we've purchased (I own all of them) would be cool, too, (similar to the way CamelAudio does it for Alchemy) and since our ST iOS license is already synced up with our IK account, it could be doable, conceivably.

Is there any chance you can mention adding midi note editing, song wav export, and some level of pattern/song arrangement? 8 tracks would also be excellent, 4 is very limiting.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Running until the 30th... These things would make this app a total production piece for me!!

I agree! I'm not even looking for a full production suite, though. Just something I can send MIDI sequences to from Beatmaker or whatever, record the output (ideally with AudioCopy), and mix it in MultitrackDAW or StudioTrack with the rest of the track elements (from Sunrizer, iSequence, etc). This would be incredibly useful and would fulfill SampleTank's mandate as a tank for samples
Let me know whom at IK Multimedia it is that I have to bribe with chocolate chip cookies to make this happen

IK guys.. I'm going to pick up the full ST for iOS. I have the free version now.. should I buy the full version and then All Sounds Pack from in there? Or does it make a difference if you just upgrade from the within the free version?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can do it either way. My personal preference long-term would be to get Full and the all sounds within that.clonewar wrote:IK guys.. I'm going to pick up the full ST for iOS. Thanks to everybody else for the suggestions (and offers of cookies!). Great ideas, as usual.

I took advantage of the sale last night and upgraded to full/all packs via in app purchase. I enjoy SampleTank on my PC and now I can take it with me (almost) anywhere.
Not that it matters much, but I thought perhaps the app icon would change removing the "free" term. Oh well, no biggie.
Thanks for a nice product and a great sale price.

W00t! I figured out that you can sequence from Genome to SampleTank, then export the file to an email, email it to yourself, and then open the email on the iPad and from clicking the attachment within the email, open it in StudioTracks or Multitrack.DAW. It's nowhere near as convenient as AudioPaste (and the implementation between Genome and ST is a little wonky), but it'll do as a workaround until we get AudioPaste in SampleTank (soon, please!
).
