The mp3 demo is online now:

A big THANK YOU to our artists and sound designers for creating it!
Hmm that's the typical "Tone 2 sound" (which I like by the way), very clean and bright, lovely, but it does not sound very "analog modeled" to me..

If you'd say that this was ElectraX, then I would believe it instantly :)

All imho of course, ymmv!
that's exactly my view too.. but I am waiting to try the demo in my own hands etc to see if that is the only conclusion I will make

Same here. Only gonna have my final verdict after the demo is released. I know for a fact that tone 2 always have a similar sounding audio demo despite it was meant for their different plugin.

I like the old school demo though, but the modern sound demo kinda ruined the mood don't you think? When people go to to a vintage synth plugin site they expect vintage sound demo too.

The demo sounds great! It sounds like the complete opposite of "vintage" though :)
I'll definitely demo the synth.

Sounds lovely and had a slight flashback hearing 'Jump'. Spot on. Can't wait to demo this 'beast'.

Audio demo sounds cool, waiting for the vsti demo! :)

It sounds very earpleasing and listening to the audio demo, very versatile! Looking forward to demo!

I liked the 303 type sounds at the end of the demo. Also some good alpha juno type sounds. Can't wait to play it myself. I have a strong feeling that I am going to want this plugin so bad when I have laid my hands on it first.
My plugin shopping list is growing too fast these days.

Sounds good, but seems like an identical sound to ElectraX. I guess it will appeal to those that want a streamlined cut down version of ElectraX without wavetables etc.

I'll buy it if the arp has a tie per step, which is sorely missing from ElectraX.

I am loving the hoovers, I am a bit of a hoover fanatic and Saurus does an excellent "What the?" :)

.. well the demo is a bit of a let down in my opinion. Sounds way too overhyped and tries to be everything for everybody. It doesn't sound that vintage at all. It's certainly no competition for Diva.

I'll of course try the demo once it's out.

Cheers!

Yeah I'm also not in love with the demo sounds, I would rather have heard some solo lines that weren't part of a mix to hear the character of the synth better. But demos can be misleading in many ways, I hope to be impressed with the demo, if they can really get Diva sound with low CPU that is great. We'll see soon :)

Demo sounds great to me.

Demo mp3 is definitely not enough to instantly make me think I couldn't approximate anything there already in ElextraX pretty easily.

Resonance opened up sounds "slightly" better than ElectraX (which is still very thin and chirpy sounding, but not in a bad way); but we'll see with the demo.

It's almost like this is the Firebird version of the classic VA oscs of ElectraX; with a few unique things you wish were in ElectraX.

From the demo mp3; no way this competes with DIVA on the simple sound generation principles/options of vintage analog. Don't ask me to get super technical, just use your ears. DIVA is it still for a long while I predict, so contently so I'm not even thinking about it anymore when composing... just making music.

On the other hand Tone2 are no hacks at actually making really fun, useful and great sounding synths. So in no way is my negative impression of their mp3 demo saying this couldn't just be something you reach for constantly because it just "does it." It's just the sounds from the mp3 don't seem like anything different from the big E.

Actual demo will only tell... but yeah I agree this mp3 is pretty indistinguishable from the VA's of ElectraX.

ITT: The realisation of some people that if you already have 100 synths, adding one more _probably_ won't bring much more to the table, no matter how good it is.

[Note: I think the demo sounds excellent and varied so if I needed another synth I may well consider this one. As it is, with 3 softs, 2 hards and a sampler, I don't need anything else].

Good luck to Tone2 and have fun with this synth all those who get it.

Audio demos are indicative. The demo in your hands will be the true measure... of whether you like it or not. ...in anyway, the "xxx is more analog sounding that xxxx" is really subjective I think.
