Program Organizer: Adding a new preset

Hi.
I'm demoing Cantabile and I just cannot figure out how to add another preset within a bank for a instrument. I can edit and move around the existing ones, but not add an extra. I would have guessed that the "Insert Empty Program" in the program organizer would do this, but it only replaces the preset I work on with an empty one.

You can use the program organizer window (Edit->ProgramOrganizer) to add, cut/copy/paste and delete patches.
The most simple way is moving changed patches to the "shared bank". These patches will appear below the original patchlist of the instrument.

Thanks for the feedback TiUser. The problem with the program organizer is that I'm not able to change the number of patches in the window to the left. So the one-patch instrument remains one-patch even after I try to add a patch from the shared bank.
But I tried playing around with the shared bank solution you describe. It seems like it's "almost there"
. First problem is that if I have two patches in the shared bank, then I'm not able to have one subscene use one and the next subscene use the other. Whenever I change the "program" in Cantabile, then it's applied to all subscenes. It seems like it uses program 1 (the only program).
If the patches in the shared bank would behave like the ones in the normal bank, then the problem with Kontakt could be solved by having a patch in the shared bank for each kontakt-instrument you want to use.

Actually, I got the shared bank to work. I forgot to enable the "Entire bank" setting for the instrument. So now Sample Tank 2 can have different sounds for each subscene. Bu8t Kontakt 4 doesn't seem to happy about this shared bank feature. It just crashed whenever I use it.
Is it possible to modify a shared patch the same way normal patches are modified? It seems like the parameters are not stored when I switch between shared patches.

I think so - just select it from the preset list...RonnieRex wrote:Is it possible to modify a shared patch the same way normal patches are modified? It seems like the parameters are not stored when I switch between shared patches.

RonnieRex - Thank you for sharing this very valuable piece of info. I was in the exact same situation, and your post helped a lot!RonnieRex wrote:Actually, I got the shared bank to work.
