Is there a 64 bit version? If not are there plans for that in the future? Has anyone had success using RC VST with Jbridge in a 64 bit host?
What is the update policy? If I buy 1.9 now how many free updates do I get?

I've used the VSTi version of RapidComposer in the 64-bit version of SONAR X1 Producer Expanded Edition without jBridge, only SONAR's native BitBridge. It did crash on me, but that was version 1.83 of RC and I haven't yet tried version 1.9 of RC in SONAR. I use jBridge with some other problematic 32-bit VSTi's in SONAR so if I continue to get crashes I'll jBridge it.dvbssman wrote:Is there a 64 bit version? According to this page http://www.musicdevelopments.com/editions.html (look at the Price line), if you buy RC now you'll get updates for free up to version 3.0. It's obviously a work in progress, but I find it a really cool tool, especially as I'm compositionally challenged.

Thanks RandomChaos. I think RC sould work fine for me as a stand alone 32 bit app and then import the finished MIDI into my 64 bit DAW (Studio One). I looked before but didn't find the free up update policy up to version 3.0.

Hi,
the update policy is if you buy v1.9, you will get all v2.xx versions.
I will try to build a 64-bit version. I have not got a request for 64-bit RC up to now. I cannot think of a reason why it should not succeed. I will let you know in this thread.
Thanks,
Attila

I'd certainly go for a 64-bit version of RC since I'm on a 64-bit system and the 32-bit standalone of version 1.9 full edition has now broken for me. Will contact you by e-mail about this situation Attila.
