That's probably it. Reason is synonymous with flexibility and that seems to have increased expectations. I didn't assume anything of that nature with a $1 app but it seems that a lot of people here did.IncarnateX wrote:Maybe the problem is that big names cause big expectations? Or maybe they should not have associated it with Reason engine wise?

Well it's at the top of the featured page and app of the week! I just saw in the app shop..
I'm not sure that's world wide or just local but that's pretty big.. Hopefully they make lots of $$ and put a team to work making more cool apps (and making figure even better)

What Props make from Figure is peanuts to their ReSon revenue...shanecgriffo wrote:Well it's at the top of the featured page and app of the week! I just saw in the app shop..

I don't doubt for a second that Figure is just a test run for Props app making skills.
ReBerth, although Props original program was converted to iOS by Retronyms a d therefore it is not t "true" Props app.
Well, let's see how quickly can Props get Figure up to date...
Time will tell, but I wouldn't hold my breath for to long, I'm afraid...

Although it's not apparent Figure does save your "song" as an xml document, they just haven't implemented a file manger yet. You can do the job manually using an iOS file manager from your PC (I use i-FunBox). If you navigate to "User Applications/Figure/Documents" the file Untitled.fig is the current song file. Just rename this to something else and next time you start Figure it will create a new one. Rename your song back to Untitled to load it.
There's no guarantee that they won't change the file format format for the next release though so your saved files may not work.

It's actually a pretty cool live tool. Had some great fun playing it with one hand on the iphone while the other was jamming along on the ipad.
Don't care much about recording/saving, but would love to see an ipad version to avoid page flipping and a few more beats wouldn't hurt.
It's also a nice training tool when changing scale on the fly.

Thanks, based on this post I just got it. I think there is something much bigger behind this lil app. It is btw my first purchase from the props - seems their evil plan of world domination is working outKatzenjammer wrote:Not sure if this has been posted. From the prop forum, a developer commented on coming features.
More features are on its way, including save/export.
From the developerhttps://www.propellerheads.se/forum/sho ... stcount=65As you might have guessed or read elsewhere, we do have a nice long list of features to add to Figure in coming updates. Bringing stuff in/out is high up there. That means save/load, export, social sharing and so on.
And best of all - if you bought Figure already, these features will be free. We won't put basic features like these behind In App purchases, that'd feel very wrong.

I found last night it is easy enough to play around with and get some variations going while I jam along on my guitar.. Multitasking!

My son (9) played with it for the first time last night and after brief explanations, really got into it. He's played with stuff before - Rebirth, various VSTi - but he was clearly creating vs just messing around, erasing stuff he didn't like, tweaking sounds, etc. Leslie will be happy to hear that he was disappointed that there was no option to save
I had it hooked up to some decent 2.1 pc speakers and it sounded really nice. If the Props allow exporting to Reason I would be all over that.
@Muzik 4 Machines: nice indeed!

Sorry, but it doesn't show capabilities of Figure as stand alone app.Muzik 4 Machines wrote:
